I have very hard water and have never used this kind of shampoo. After getting highlights, I noticed they were getting very brassy. And my hair has been so dry and crunchy. I researched hard water shampoos/conditioners and this one is highly rated. What a difference they made!!! My color is back to normal. My fine hair is no longer flat and dry. I’m hooked. I use them both every other time I wash my hair now. Just try them!! You won’t regret it!!

I have very oily, temperamental hair, and hard water at home. I have a lot of trouble finding a shampoos that work. Malibu C has been a game changer for me. It’s the only shampoo that consistently makes my hair appear smooth and also somewhat fuller. It has a nice smell and makes my hair also feel lighter. The texture of my hair also feels softer, and less brittle. It’s definitely worth a try.

Shampoo and conditioner are nice. The shampoo smells like citrus to me. The hard water treatment crystals seemed to irritate my scalp or skin if any got on it so might be best to avoid for sensitive skin people. People say they have noticed a difference in my hair and people are always saying how my blonde hair looks lighter. Packaging was fine, nothing leaked out. The first time I used it I used all 3 and my hair felt dry and kinda frizzy afterwards but did not stay that way! I would recommend using the crystals once a month if you have dry hair not once a week as recommend. Conditioner helps with detangling, seems very light and doesnt leave my hair heavy. My hair has become very soft and healthier since using the shampoo and conditioner. It is a little pricey but next time I'll probably just buy that shampoo & conditioner on their own.

When I moved to Ohio the water was havoc on my hair, so dry and dull. This was an absolute reset!!! After one use my hair was super soft and shiny again. I used the treatment packet along with shampoo and conditioner and beautiful results. A bit pricey but does work

My hair has felt like trash for a long time now. Immediately after using this product it’s felt better though. The most quantifiable change is the difference in combing through my hair. Even with a super wide tooth comb I struggled to comb through my hair before. Now my hair is back to how I remember it in the past with it being pretty easy to comb through while wet.

I got my hair colored again last Saturday. I have shoulder length fine bright blonde hair with multicolored streaks shades of blonde/light brown hair within. I have been coloring my hair blonde for 25 years - since I was 12. I really take pride in my hair, it’s expensive to do, so I really want to take care of it. I had to cut six inches off due to the hard water damage from the last six months of hard water life at our apartment complex. 6 months ago, I got married and we moved to another Northern California town with hard water and gross minerals in it. I no longer had the soft water that I typically use on my hair! My stylist noticed the difference in color and texture as my hair was turning duller and flatter, my scalp was itching like crazy and I was losing more hair than usual. This time she used the extensive Malibu C treatment 45 minutes ahead of coloring and recommended that I purchase this Malibu C detoxing set (along with another weekly purple toning shampoo to keep up the brightness) so to minimize the hard water damage to my hair. She shampooed my hair and deep conditioned it with Malibu C products as well. I absolutely loved the scent - it’s a very clean, not overpowering scent that does not smell like chemicals. I especially love that it is 100% VEGAN. I’ve gotten more aware of environmental toxics and pollutions over the last year so I really appreciate that the Malibu C company formulated the shampoo & conditioner this way - as well as it has the cruelty free bunny on the label, as it is not tested on animals. My hair was lighter, brighter and healthier. My only (and decent sized) issue? This box describes not just a 9oz bottle of shampoo and a 9oz bottle of conditioner, but describes 4 packets of “Hard Water Wellness Remedy” which was not in the small space in the box that was allotted for it :( :( :( I double checked the description on Amazon for this box as well, it also describes 4 packets that I didn’t get! It’s really a bummer because I really really love everything else about this package! This review would have been 5 stars, I gave 2 off for the lack of small packets and the inconvenience that caused because I now have to do one of the below: 1) exchange this and not wash my hair for a week with this shampoo 2) Keep it and deal with not having the small packets. But then I’ll need to buy an additional set of small packets separately for $7 (the current cost on Amazon to purchase a set of them) and eat the cost. Neither option is very appealing to me. So: The score is 3/5 overall or a 65% A 5/5 for scent A 2/5 for packaging A 5/5 for speed And for actual use of product? A 5/5. I can’t get past the missing packets though. . :(

I just moved beginning of March to a house with hard water (didn’t know) and my hair became trash :( I just used this tonight and my hair feels amazing and this stuff smells SO good! I got the shampoo, conditioner and packet set. Amazing product! 10/10 recommend!

Fast shipping and the product works great! After using shampoo, conditioner, and treatment one time, my hair was curlier than I’ve ever seen it. I’m sure that’s due to not having the hard water residue weighing it down. The only negative is I don’t love the smell. It’s very metallic smelling but I can only smell it while I’m using it, not after it’s rinsed out.

I used these products on my long hair (nearly to my waist) to remove build up of hair products, hair colour, and hard water deposits. For about 8 years, I've used the curly girl method. That means no harsh shampoos, and lots of leaving conditioner on my hair. I decided it was time to clarify my hair, to remove all the build up of product. I've been living in an ultra hard water area for years, so my hair can feel rough and look dull. I wanted to get rid of the mineral deposits, to have soft hair again. Lastly, I've been using permanent colour for years. I wanted to see how much of that colour I could remove safely, as a prelude to letting my natural colour grow out. I used this set of products twice, following the directions carefully. The results are good! I was pleased that the shampoo and conditioner cleared out a lot of the stickiness and heaviness from years of product. They broke through the mineral deposits, leaving my hair softer. They took out a lot of the colour, so my regrowth line is not as harsh and skunk-like. Definitely would purchase again.
