Good for teaching phonics. Each letter has 5 images of objects starting with the sound.

I got this for my daughter when she was 2 and we more so ‘played’ with it and talked about the letter and pictures and played a game with it. Now she is older I’m reintroducing it with focus on letter sounds and letter recognition. With 26 different ‘letter soup cans’ it’s always new and exciting as I only bring out a couple letters at a time. When I bought this, it was around the $70 mark but now it’s quite hard to find in Australia - so understand the price increase.

Our autistic toddler thrives with learning toys featuring numbers and letters, and stayed engaged with this for about an hour at first use (and lengthy durations in the next week after)! Each can has several images and the letter itself in both uppercase and lowercase format. All contents are sturdy material that we expect to last a while. Would have preferred that everything not be wrapped individually in the cans, but that is a minor complaint in the ease of first use and environmentalism. Overall great buy for those looking for alphabet learning in a fun and engaging way.

Our family loves Learning Resources products -- excellent quality, educational, engaging -- and have purchased many over the past decade. This particular product (Alphabet Soup Sorters) is a favourite one; so loved by the children that I ended up buying another.
