CrazyMat Premium Carpet Chair Mats for Home & Office - Heavy duty studed Polyurethane Rolling Chair Mat with Lip for Low Pile Carpet Floor Under Desks and Chairs(36"x48") Review: Good, not Great - I bought two mats. The chair mats protect the carpets. As far as Sturdiness, the quirks I have with it are the way the wheels sink into the mat and it shifts. When I move the chair, the wheels are in a rut. And the carpet isn't that thick. Even though the mat has plastic pins to stop it from shifting on the carpet, it still does. Every few weeks I need to realign the mat. In regards to Durability, time will tell. So I didn't give it 5 stars but it looks like it'll last a few years. After these wear out, I'll look for a slightly thicker mat. Overall, it's a good mat. Review: Don’t try to use it on a rug. - It’s a good floor mat if you’re using it on a wood floor. I didn’t think it would sink into the rug like it does. The chair won’t move on the mat if it’s on carpeting, my mistake. It’s a heavy duty mat that’s easy to clean. It takes about a day for it to flatten out once you’ve unrolled it. Be careful of the grippers on the bottom. They like to get you (ouch!).

Protects Carpet & Helps Office Chair Roll Easily
Works as advertised; plastic is thick and firm, and seems to be very sturdy. One annoying thing is the mat comes rolled up very tightly. I've had mine for a couple of months now and there is STILL a lot of curl on one edge. Recommend keeping bricks or some other heavy weight on the edges until it lays completely flat. Other than that, it works great.

Not Very Good for Rug
Purchased this product specifically because my office chair is rolling into my rug and has a difficulty moving, and it was bothering me. I've used these plastic sheets in the past and have had success - this one, not so much. I wouldn't say it is terrible, but there is one thing I would inform people of, that a few others have mentioned: your chair will sink into the plastic around the wheels. I'm not a heavyset guy, plastic just immediately warped around my chair wheels, and moving is just as difficult as before. If your goal is to protect the rug or the floor, this would work - if your goal is to have your chair move easier on a rough/soft surface, buy a thicker product; this one will replicate the same problems as before. Overall it's not too bad, wasn't too expensive; I wouldn't have bought it if I knew it sunk into the carpet that much, though. Not hard to unroll. Not heavy. Easy to set up. Don't try and grab the spikes and you'll be fine.

Don't put too much weight on this.
Worked fine for my purposes

Really soft plastic, warped in days, broke in weeks.
Unfortunately, I bought this before I needed it, so it sat in a box until after the return period. As expected, it was very difficult to flatten out and weigh down for a day or two (not knocking it for that; it was expected and explained in the item description and other reviews). It was more difficult than I expected as a muscly solo dude... I 100% would not buy this as a single woman or a guy without some muscle / weight. Once I got it set up, though, it quickly showed how worthless it was. The chair's wheels would imprint on the soft plastic, leaving divots where the wheels would subsequently get stuck. I got the protector to go over carpet, so that I could roll more easily, but it actually became more difficult, because when I sat still for any length of time, I now had to push my chair out of the divots. I've had it installed for about 90 days and it's starting to crack in several places all the way through the plastic. Still very soft; the wheels still leave divots. It's a pain to move my chair. 1000% do not recommend.

Chair floor mat
Works fine. A real bugger to get it to straighten out since it is rolled up tight in a box for shipping. You have to lay heavy objects on it until it straightens out. It suggests it is good to have two people to help. I live alone so that was not an option. It is a good mat even though I felt like I had wrestled an alligator getting it out of the box and straightening it. Kind of comical but not! I will buy it again when this one wears out.

No Problems
There's not much to this. The big question is if the size is right, the surface you're placing the mat is correct, and if you like the shape of it. My mat is on low pile carpeting in my basement studio. The previous mat cracked after a few years. The tips in the directions are important. Simply put, try to warm the thing up before you do anything. This makes the plastic more bendable. I put mine unboxed in the bathroom they get particularly warm if I don't open the door. Once you unroll it, you'll need some heavy weights. I think I used the edge of a large beanbag chair, my office chair, and a bunch of books. You want these in each corner Holding it down as the mat gets used to being flat. So far, I'm satisfied. It has a simple job and it is adequately doing it. It's transparent enough that I don't really notice it. Anthony Trendl

Description says it is a poly carbonate, Matt. The mat we received is PVC. And has a lot of odor coming from it. We returned it.
