AISITIN 2.5W Outdoor Floating Solar Fountain, Solar Pond Pump and 6 Nozzles, Solar Water Feature for Bird Bath Aquarium Garden Fountain

I saw this on an instagram post and thought it was cute for the kids and managed to find this one on offer at less than £15. All parts were included and it was very easy to put together. The size is standard for these I think and fits most medium plant pots. There are different heads to attach and all easy to put on and take off. You are given 4 sticks to slot in to keep it from moving but I haven't used these as like it free floating. I'm happy with the quality of the fountain considering its price and our use so far.

This product comes with a couple of different nozzles for different sprays. The water does evaporate quickly, mainly due to slight winds and remember no sun, no spray. All in all, I really like this product cheap and you get what you pay for, but it does the job required.

This is a great product , easy to put together with no extra wires needed as the solar power part is on the fountain itself . Works really well on sunny days I’ve tried a few of these but this is my favourite. Great water feature . Great value for money

This product responds really well even to limited light on a cloudy day. Our problem is that it works too well. We wanted it for a bird bath a similar size to the one in the advertising we saw when purchasing it. The trouble is even a small amount of sunshine sends the fountain soaring in the air with the result that in a few hours the wind had blown all the water from the fountain over the patio leaving us with an empty birdbath - and it's only April! Goodness knows how strong the jet will be in the summer. We have tried each of the six heads provided and none of them contain the water spout enough. We have decided that if we were to use it we could only do so in the winter when the sun is much weaker. The other problem we have with it is that the fountain is very bouyant and the three tiny suction pads on the bottom are not sufficient in our birdbath to hold the fountain down. We have had to add some lead weights to it. All in all our complaint with this product is that it is too strong for a birdbath and needs much bigger suction pads. It would be excellent in a large pond provided you had a base to which the tiny suction pads could hold firmly otherwise you would have to add some serious weight to hold it down.

The reason I say this fountain is good but a bit too good is because when the full sun hits it, the fountain is surprisingly powerful. I put this fountain in my birdbath expecting a pleasant little trickle of water and was surprised when a high jet of water shooted out of it - it was so powerful that the water sprayed over the side of the birdbath emptying it within minutes! I ended up taking it out of the birdbath for this reason, but this fountain would be excellent if you have a good sized pond. The fountain only works properly in full sun. If there’s any bit of shadow cast on it, the fountain stops working and it coughs out odd splashes of water as it struggles to work properly. The other thing to consider is that the fountain floats and because the little engine vibrates, it causes the fountain to move around. If you put this in a pond it would be a good idea to weigh it down with a rock and some string to stop it floating off into the murky shadows... Overall it’s a clever bit of tech for good sized ponds but not suitable for small birdbath.

Wanted something to move the water around in my little whisky barrel container pond. I found the attachments to be too powerful in spraying water upwards (although looked super cool!). Unfortunately, it meant too much water was being lost from my little pond. So I just removed the attachments and it still works great as a little water fountain - the birds and insects love it and it creates a little water feature with calming sound for our garden. The underneath filter bit might get a little sludgy now and then, but you can easily clean it off so it works better - not a problem in a water bath where there is no plant debris. Well worth the money and has helped make our pond a lovely feature that all the wildlife in our garden love! We created this all in for £100 - you can get a half whisky barrel from Etsy, buy a few pond plants and rocks from the garden centre - plus this little solar fountain. We've had it a year now and it has worked every day that we have just a small amount of sun.

Solar fountains like this have no longevity and eventually malfunction. Ended up getting a motor pump for my pond.

Works ok in direct sunlight but not so great when in the shade

I purchased two of these solar fountains....one only worked for a week and the second died in less than 3. Choose a different brand.

I have had a couple of these inexpensive solar fountains which have died on the job. So far so good with this one. It was bought with the expectation of suction caps being fitted but it came with the four plastic straws that localise it in our basin. Now a convert to this arrangement. It is working well, every day when the sun hits, up comes the spray. Cleaning is standard, so no concerns there. After three/four weeks still going strong. Happy.

It starts working quickly in sunlight and adds a beautiful touch to my garden. The upgraded 2.5W power gives a strong, steady water flow. Easy to set up and works great!
