I switched to Blue Buffalo Life Protection Formula Small Bite for my dog, and it’s been a great choice. The kibble size is just right for smaller mouths, making it easy to chew without crumbling into dust. My dog adjusted quickly and seems to really enjoy the taste—no coaxing needed at mealtime. We transitioned our dogs from Merrick to Blue Buffalo and they are loving the Blue Buffalo brand food. And cost wise the Blue Buffalo food is a better value. I switched because of the better ingredients used and value. I was really excited to hear they preferred the Blue Buffalo brand. Next I will look for treats.

My dogs love this food. I have bought it consistently since I started feeding my pups adult dog food. Food is small enough for them to eat. None of them have stomach issues. I have 2 chihuahuas 1 min pin and a poodle/bichon/maltese mix and they all eat it. I go through 1 30/36lb bag a month that feeds 4 dogs. I trust the ingredients. I don’t know if it keeps their teeth clean, but they love it.

A great high rated dog food with great ingredients. My dog has been eating it for a couple of years now and he’s still enjoys it. I also use their wet food which he enjoys with no issues at all.

Our 40lb 11 year old mixed breed likes this food. It keeps her coat shining and she is very healthy.

This food caused my beautiful baby much distress as well as it scared me for her. I first gave it to her on January 12 2026. She threw up all night and had very wet poop. She continued to throw up all the water she drank all morning. It took 4 days of eating boiled chicken &rice for her to hold down food. This Blue Buffalo almost killed my dog. I feel so bad because I gave it to her .Our dogs trust us, and I have failed. Never again will I give her Blue Buffalo. This is not a good brand anymore. I hope that my review and others will save some other dogs, that their owners will stay away from this bad bad food. Thank you for reading this.
