KingSpec SSD 128GB 2.5" SATA3 Internal Solid State Drive for PC, Laptop, Mac?P3-128?

I didn't need ultimate performance or extreme capacity, was replacing the drive in what would be a little web server. This SSD was a great price, installed without difficulty and has proven reliable in operation for a week or so. I reckon I got my money's worth.

Great product! I used this KingSpec 128GB SSD with a USB to SATA III disk drive adapter and it worked great. I was able to run Virtualbox VMs stored on the USB drive instead of using the disk space on my host SSD. Other big name SSDs could not handle the VM disk IO (ie: SanDisk and Kingston). I'm a Linux developer so this setup allow me to archive old projects to the KingSpec SSD, but still run them later with Virtualbox. For reference the host is a i3 NUC workstation running Ubuntu 18.04.

Was pleased with the drive. Reasonably priced, decent performance. Worked fine for about 9 months. However, have been unsuccessful in obtaining post-sale warranty support from the vendor. Have attempted 4 times in the past month using their support tools/website. Nothing from the company. I would have considered buying a different drive, and spending a few extra dollars. Will do so in the future.

I don't remember when I bought it. But I had bought t for an older 2008 MacBook laptop to replace its slow platter HDD. With the SSD, my old MacBook boots up from Off to ready to use in less than 20 seconds. Its access, read/write speeds are fast enough for me. I don't know much anymore about the various SATA SSD controllers, but this worked without any finagling. I would buy again to install as a Boot drive or secondary external drive for any other older computer.
