Multimeter Test Leads Kit 4mm Banana Plug Cable Test Probe

Just received my Style F set. The probes are great, I love that there are two sets of tips each of 1mm and 2mm, I've installed 1mm, as the original probes that came with the meter are 2mm. This will give me the versatility to get into smaller spaces. The Banana plugs allow the 2mm probes to be connected to the clamps or spade connectors, and this fits on my original probes with no problem. The spring clips with tiny jaws look like they'll be great for connecting into small circuits when prototyping, and what's more is that the cable for them is a dupont female connector, which means that I can simply attach into a a male dupont cable instead if I want. Finally the croc clips could be useful for making a better connection to a ground. The tweezers are something that I'm not sure that I'd actually use, though they do work, I have a feeling that I may end up regretting that statement if I end up working with lots of SMD components and I can see the usefulness in both picking up and measuring the devices in one go.

Great value with loads of different leads. Highly recommended to anyone. Reasonable quality, easy to use, reliable, fit like they were made for a Fluke and the connections are 100% after at least a year of use. You really can't ask for more.

These are not the most expensive leads but for the money are well made. I have used better quality leads etc but the cost was disproportionally more. These were brought for some testing I need to do but they are not for daily use. The smaller clip leads and the way they connect is a bit naff (technical term) but they work - just don't pull too hard on them. So if you have some testing to do but not on a regular basis they are a good buy.

Good quality leads to replace my old ones which had developed an intermittent fault in one lead. Long probes with optional sheaths to limit the length of the tips to avoid shorting things out when needed for high precision work. Also includes 4 fine 'very' long tips. Haven't found a use for them yet - slightly nervous as they are not a very tight fit over the probe ends that the might accidentally slip off in the equipment when measuring.

Great set of leads for anyone using multimeters regularly like myself. Any electrical job and the meter is out. The addition in this kit of the fine pin tips is a bonus as my old blunt tips would mark the insulation rather too much when doing line testing. The push joints are firm so nothing drops apart during usage. The croc clips are positive grip and ideal for earth binding so frees up two hands for positive tracing. Good value for the money considering the good quality and variety of screw in tips. Buying another set for my mobile tool box as I like to keep each meter (workshop and mobile) all in a box ready to go.

I bought this set because it contains multiple connection options (pen-style probes with interchangeable tips, alligator clips, and even magnet probes, together with a pair of silicone-insulated test leads. The whole thing is delivered in a simple plastic hinged box, taped shut. The overall quality of the contents was a little mixed (some plug/socket combos felt a little loose, others too tight), but the biggest issue was that the pen-style probes required you to screw in your choice from the several different pairs of probe points supplied, including using a small supplied spanner if you wanted to tighten them up. Why was this a problem? Well, it took time - and then you could no longer store the probes in the box! So after assembling, doing whatever tests you wanted, you then had to unscrew the points before you could put all the kit back in the box. Even with just one single test use, I realised this would drive me nuts, so with regret, I've returned these for a refund.

While the cables are indeed quite flexible and there’s a nice array of cable options, the standard probe tips weren’t conducting properly?! I am guessing that the chrome plating is the issue as when I changed the probes for the copper tips, the conductivity worked fine. I ended up returning them for this reason. There definitely seems to be a bit of a QC issue. Pretty sure that just polishing the standard tips would sort out the issue but not something I’m willing to do for a brand new item. So I guess you mileage may vary as I have seen comments that are throughly happy with the .
