Celestron LensPen Optics Cleaning Tool for Telescopes, Binoculars & Cameras

This is a snazzy little tool. I got it for my Binoculars but it cleans my glasses and compact mirrors too. Really useful for my nice vintage Compacts. Had nice fine brush and no smear fiber tip. I think I'll get another for my dressing table/ makeup

Love it. Works well to clean the eyepieces for my telescope. Goes great with my Celestron 1.25" kit. I know a lot of people say they aren't happy with it because it doesn't clean as good as a cloth, but it's not really meant to. It's a portable, convenient way to clean your eyepieces and your telescope lenses while you're in the field, which, to me, is well worth it. I don't really carry any kind of cleaning supplies, like glass cleaner or cloths, when I'm going to a field for Astronomy purposes. For $5, I just had to buy this. I couldn't be happier with it. Have some friends in my clubs that use it as well. Love Celestron and their products.

Overall seems like a good brush to have. The problem I see is the brush end that retracts does not have a cover to keep dirt out. The last thing I want to do is brush a lens with a dirty brush! So, I 3D printed a cover for it.

I took a chance on this Lenspen, which had mixed reviews, but I am very pleased with its performance. I have used it on my older Monarch binoculars, which I have never cleaned with anything other than a cloth lens cleaner. It did a great job. I have a lot of family using this binoculars so it gets smudged by many who aren't careful. I've only had this Lenspen for a month or so, but I would recommend it. I am not a professional, but I live for 6 months out of the year on 85 acres of dense forest, which opens onto a beautiful lake. I am a birder as well as a wildlife enthusiast, so my binoculars get a lot of use. For my purposes, this Lenspen meets my expectations.

Celestron Optical Cleaning Brush is of Outstanding Quality & Well Designed For Indefinite Use. Great for all types of Optical Surfaces: binoculars, telescopes, microscopes and all other precision made optical devices. Make sure to use clean medical type gloves and free of and powders to prevent "finger oils" from damaging the brush surfaces. I use a Optical Blower first, and then use the brush. For more serious cleaning use quality lens tissue slightly moistened with "Len Cleaning Fluid." For visual tips go to "Youtube" and look up professional lens cleaning.

Very easy to use and cleans lenses well. Have not had any issues or concerns about scratches or other damage. Small size (about that of a large permanent marker) makes it easy to throw in my camera bag or pocket. Cap and retractable brush also means no worries of keeping it clean like a normal cleaning cloth. Would recommend to anyone who has a camera!

Didn't like using a cloth to wipe down the lens so I started to use a lenspens.Celestron version is really nice,removed a finger mark with ease and left no residue,make sure you twist the cap a few times to remove any of the dirt removed so it won't get stuck in the tip.A lenspen is better since it provides precise areas that needs to be clean and you can see the progress compared to a cloth.Use a blower or brush to remove any dirt first then use the lenspen.I remember a friend of my bought some cheap lenspen off Ebay and he mentioned the tips was way too stiff and actually made the lens mark even worst.He threw them all away,it's not worth saving a few dollars compare to the possibility of scratching your glass.

Easy way to keep all you lenses clean

You can buy cheaper versions of this but believe it when I say there’s a big difference in quality, I’ve tried a cheap one and it left smudges and black particles everywhere. This one cleans perfect with no problems. You get what you pay for in this case.
