The Octonauts and the Great Ghost Reef

My oldest son (4-years-old) loves this book. More for the great art than the story. He is always finding new little things that he did not see before. And it is great for "I-spy" type games while reading to him. If you have kids that like the pictures better than the stories, this would be a good choice.

We love these books. My boys (3 & 5) find the original books to be more engaging than the ones based off the television series (which we also love.) The whimsy of these books, the beautiful artwork, the detail on the pages, all completely entrances them. Great books.

We have this book in physical hardcover form, but I decided to get a digital copy. I noticed on page 19 there is a line from a different Octonauts book (the "Only Lonely Monster" I believe) that doesn't belong here. I wonder if that can be easily updated so the story flows, it definitely was a silly moment! We hope more Octonauts books become available soon.

We were introduced to the Octonauts books through a cousin, and ever since then, my daughter has loved them. ON top of that, we love them too. The illustrations, the whimsy, the good messages, these are truly unique books, and deserve a place in your child's library.

My 3 yo loves Octonauts and wanted to have books about them. The stories are short and nice, just like the episodes.

My 3-yr-old son loves the Octonauts. Quite literally, he proclaims with excitement that it's his favorite show. So he was truly elated when I got him this book, and, months later, he still loves it. It's a tough book to read (from the standpoint of the parent or other caregiver who loves to read to a child), but the visuals are so compelling and engaging (for both child and caregiver) that it makes the challenge worthwhile.

Bought for granddaughter. She loves octonauts. This is great buy.

She asks for each of the Octonauts book by name each night. She know every character and what they are doing throughout the story. The illustrations are so detailed, she loves picking out and naming all the hidden images. Wonderful for all ages!

A mi niño le gustan mucho los personajes de los octonautas, las aventuras y el sentido del trabajo en equipo, además que de una manera sencilla, van escuchando nuevo vocabulario en ingles y van aprendiendo nuevas cosas, mi niño tiene 5 años por lo que no sabe leer aún, pero todas las noche quiere que lo "leamos juntos"

Come anche Il Mare delle Ombre, questa avventura degli Octonauti è diventata una delle preferite della mia bimba che ha quasi 3 anni: raccontata con semplicità e con una giusta intonazione la appassiona tantissimo, ed ho scoperto che è anche una ottima storia della buonanotte. Si può sfogliare infatti abbastanza velocemente "riassumendo" la storia, sia "tirarla per le lunghe" aggiungendo qualche battuta dei personaggi. Soffermandosi sulle illustrazioni, molto dettagliate, si scopre sempre qualcosa di nuovo che attira la sua attenzione (una tazza poggiata in un angolo, un pesciolino che non aveva visto...) ed è come se fosse ogni volta una storia nuova. Molto carino anche il messaggio educativo ed ecologico: il nonno tartaruga se ne va dalla città dei coralli perchè è diventata grigia e disabitata, cerca un posto migliore ma poi decide di tornare e di capire perchè la città che amava si è tanto rovinata col tempo. Sembra addirittura infestata da fantasmi, se ne odono i lamenti! La sovrappopolazione e i palazzi avevano tolto sole e luce e le alghe erano morte lasciando il corallo senza nutrimento e colore: i lamenti che si odono sono i suoi! Con l'aiuto degli Octonauti si cura il corallo, si ristabilisce l'armonia e la bellezza della città, che torna ad essere viva e vitale... un lieto fine!

３歳の息子がオクトノーツにはまって、絵本を探していました。 すべて英語で書かれているため、翻訳しながら読むのは苦手ですが、 絵が可愛くて、見ているだけでも満足しています。 １歳の息子もページをめくって、絵をみています。 ほかの方のレビューにもあるように、子どもたちが喜んでくれているので、 （英語だし、読めないんじゃと不安でしたが）買って大正解でした☆
