Some flavors extract better than others
Not meant to knock the brand, in theory this should taste like butter. My taste buds found it too close to "flavoring" vs. an extract. The scent and taste reminded me of theater buttered popcorn which is is made with butter "flavoring." All in all I would not use this in anything because it adds an inferior quality to the item. I tried a bunch of extracts and most were disappointing and useless. Pure Vanilla Extract is the only one I liked and that actually can even be used to enhance flavors that are not specifically vanilla. It is a very useful extract in combination with natural flavor sources. I was looking for something to bring out the butter in butterscotch. Vanilla in combination with ambered sugar was more helpful in that regard, IMO.
