Great gift.
This book was beloved by myself as an early teenager, and I have gifted it to my sister when she turned 12 and she loved it too. Important story told in a very captivating way.

Okay
It’s a decent book however the ending is a little lacklustre. Seems fairly realistic but I wouldn’t be able to say for certain.

Enthralling and full of a multiplicity of dramatic twists!
This book had both my daughter and I, thinking deeply about how our country has and has not changed over the past 75 years. It provided a platform for us to discuss challenges and issues, that other books simply gloss over and avoid. I was grateful for the feelings of hopefulness that the book retains, in spite of the circumstances of the characters.
