hard to adjust it accurately with 3 bubbles and no making on the glass
I always wait to use something more than once before reviewing. I set up a few times to shoot some of the same elevations and there is some variations of around 6" to a foot depending on how far the shot is. I would not trust it on foundations but its fine for building up dirt and estimating how much dirt if you keep your eye on the bubble and don't shoot over 200 feet I think the problem is the 3 bubble adjustments system instead of 4 with inked lines on the glass to guide where the bubble needs to be. This bubble has no markings on the glass to tell you your in the right spot, you got guess if your bubble is in the middle. That 3 bubble stupid concept always generates field errors no matter what transit your using. The variation is perhaps a little bit of user error but the errors are easy to make with this thing. In any case, I am sure me sending in new corrected elevations is not making our civil engineer happy.
