Ignore the negative reviews.
Be mindful that you will need to remove this silver-colored adapter to attach the EA 4 shock mount to certain microphone stands. It's easy to overlook -- which is the source of all the negative reviews on this product ("not having" such-and-such adapter or "not fitting" on such-and-such a mic stand). It fits just fine. If you need to remove the adapter, just grab a quarter and twist.
