Heavy-Duty, easy to use, works as described.
I purchased this INNÔPLUS USB drive to store sensitive data for use with any future system I may have. It comes in a nice box with descriptive packaging, so it would make a nice gift. In the box are the USB drive, a cap for it, a lanyard, and an instruction manual. The USB drive and cap are surprisingly heavy metal. The buttons are clicky and responsive and just the right size. There is a button with a lightning bolt that doesn't click, and it's not even pictured in the instruction manual, so I have no idea what it's supposed to do. The other button has a key on it, and you hold that button down for 5 seconds to set a new password or press it once to enter your password, then press it again to confirm entry. Passwords must be between 6 and 14 digits and can't be consecutive digits like 123 or repeating digits like 000. It was very easy to set up and use, and the two different LED lights at the top make it clear what the USB drive is communicating. Most of all, it just works! The data is safe until you put in the passcode. If you lose your passcode, you have to contact the manufacturer with the serial number on the back, and they can give you a personalized code to wipe it and restore to factory settings. It worked with my Macbook, and I even tested it with a digital picture frame, and it worked! Overall, I didn't find any flaws with this product and would highly recommend it to anyone who needs to safely store data. 5/5 stars If you found this review helpful, please show some love by clicking the Smiley Face button below. Heavy Duty !
This is definitely not your regular light plastic USB that you get from Costco. The moment you get it in your hand, it feels like Military Grade sensitive Data Drive. On top of it being Sleek and made of Solid heavy metal, The instruction manual is rather important. There's a very specific way to change the password, and you can't just tell by looking at the drive. You need those instructions ! It's easy to set up, but you need to follow the instructions, that I'm positing here just in case I (Or you) loose the manual ! 1 - You need to hold the button down for 5 seconds to set a new password (or press it once to enter your password) 2 - Enter the new password (Passwords must be between 6 and 14 digits and can't be consecutive digits like 123 or repeating digits like 000. ) 3 - Press it again to confirm entry. 4 - Immediately re-enter the password and press to confirm If the passwords match, you're set and good to go ! If you loose your password, you have to contact the manufacturer with the serial number on the back, and they can give you a personalized code to wipe it and restore to factory settings. If you loose the Drive, who ever has it / or stole it can not access your data, as with a factory reset, all the data is wiped.

Damaged files
While it seemed to be pretty convenient, I found a critical issue and had to return it. I put some media files onto it and after a couple of months I discovered that the files are partially broken. Some images wouldn't open. Video files had problems every few seconds (they would play, but with artifacts). I tried to figure out what's going on there are overwrote the entire flash with a specific pattern. Then I verified the written files and didn't discover any issues. It looks like it works fine in short term, but may fail in long term. It does not make sense as flash itself is not battery dependent. Also it did not seem like complete sectors were missing or failed based on files' hex dumps. I think, data got distorted in some way in a random manner. If I had the originals somewhere else, I could compare and figure out what happened. But the bottom line was: I could not trust it, so I returned it.

Great price and quality product
Is incredibly well made and solid, especially when you consider that it's about 1/3 the price of Iron Keys, and the like. To those who are complaining about the security "flaw" with the serial number:I've thought of a solution to this. I took a thin Allen key, and scraped the serial number off (after writing it down, and placing it in my safe),and used a sharpie over that, as well. The number on the side of the usb port is now completely obscured, and I still have it should it ever be needed. Bad reviews due to users practicing bad opsec should be removed
