This was exactly what I was looking for. It fit into the pen as a refill.

Old pen was either running out of ink, or it was drying up. Too many times it wouldn't write well for the first 3-4 letters and/or would not create solid lines as you were writing. Problem solved with this refill. Ink flow is spot-on as needed, and writing is quite smooth. It fits perfect into my pen, and brings my expensive pen back to life.

Skips - went through the recommended trouble shooting to fix- nothing worked. Expensive at nearly $8 to throw away. (Which hubs did before I could exchange…)

Does sometimes not write on paper that has been handled or touched. I remember (60 years ago, maybe) when Cross pens first came out, the claim was that they would "write on butter'. That is definitely no longer true. I gave them a three because of their inability to even write on a fingerprint. Most Throw Away pens do a better job of writing on touched paper. I do like the look and feel of the Cross pens though. In the future I will try to find some cheap refills that will fit my Cross Pens.

Refill fit cross pen

I've had this Cross pen for years and "loved" every use of it with a medium point refill. I had high expectations for this broad point to be the same, only broad. It does not write as smooth as I have come to expect from years of medium point use. Maybe it is just one that "got through" inspection, but it leaks ever so slightly, which is enough to cause it to gather fuzz that you have to wipe off sometimes before you can write. Now, this is not what Cross designed it to do, I am sure. But like I said, I expected the Cadillac of pens to be perfect, and it isn't. I will go back to a medium point with this when it runs out, and use other broad points. 'Didn't mean to be "tuff", but I still think Cross is the best pen ever! It is just that this particular refill didn't measure up for me. Maybe it will for you.

Cross refills are the best

Very pleased I was able to source these refills as they are almost impossible to get hold of as individual refills from retail outlets. I use them in an 18K Century ball point and gives a much better balance to the pen as they are very free flowing.
