Does this work with VPT 8?

have not tested. It is a primitive device - just a USB device that takes essentially a RS232 (serial modem) and converts to RS485 (which is DMX)

Can this control DMX enabled foggers and hazers?

This interface takes the usb output from a lighting control program and changes it to dmx 512, so it can send the dmx information to any dmx device. However the actual computer program controls how the control works.
