Quite possibly the perfect work knife
I use this knife as an everyday carry. Hands down best knife for the cost. I use it for everything from opening packages to cutting wire and it holds an edge. Have beat on it pried and dropped it plenty of times. Cut shingles and whatever else gets in the way. Love that it has a full fine edge as serrated blades are worthless after a few cuts and a little abuse. That is what first drew me to this knife as finding a full edge knife is almost impossible now. The full tang and minimal but well feeling grip is the perfect compliment to the blade. Buy it and a nice stone and you will be happy with this for life. Thank you gerber for making a knife and not a saw.

Best little knife
The GERBER Freeman fixed blade knife is one of the best little knives out there. I do wish it was half serrated, but it’s ok like it is. Blade is just under 4 inches, just right. Came sharp. Handle is rubber and fits the hand good. Wide enough to do working jobs and pointed enough to poke holes. The sheath is useless. Be prepared to find another sheath for this great little knife.

Gutted a cow elk no problem
This is my hands down all time favorite fixed blade hunting knife. My second favorite is the Benchmade hidden canyon hunter. Considering the price difference, Gerber beats it by a mile. It held an edge from cutting through fur and skin on the chest. Stayed sharp enough to cut the diaphragm out cleanly and skinned the whole animal. I did not batton it through the chest or hip bones, however. We used a small hatchet for that. Over all a fantastic value for the real world hunter. Its quality enough to last and function well, cheap enough that you don't cry if you lose it. Also not heavy at all.

VERY GOOD KNIFE, BUT POORLY MADE SOFT NYLON SHEATH
The reason I only gave this knife review 4 stars is due to the poorly made soft nylon sheath. (Both knife and sheath made in CHINA). Manufacturer of soft nylon sheath did not allow sufficient length in locking strap to secure knife if sheath. Subsequently, I will have to utiliize a heavy-duty rubber band to secure knife in sheath. Now for the knife, it is very sharp cutting, has finger groves in handle, and gimping all through the upper and lower rear of full tang; great to prevent accidental slipping while in use. BOTTOM LINE: you will need to purchase a replacement nylon sheath or go for more expensive leather sheath to house this fine knife. I have other GERBER nylon sheaths, where knife made in Oregon and sufficient length for holding strap.

Great knife
I have been using a buck 110 folder for hunting for a while now and this knife for the price point is a lot better. strait out of the box it was sharp enough to shave hair off my arm. The handle is rubber and very grippy. The tip looks like a clip point but is actually a drop point. Pros: Sharp Stainless Steel / No rust Rubber handles Cheap Cons: Sheath is cheaply made If you are looking at this knife, definitely pick this up, for $20 you can't go wrong

Was 4 stars until I discovered where it was made.
I like Buck Knives and own a few. I bought 3 of these just because they were so cheap (price). I didn't pay much attention to the steel used in construction or where they were made. I assumed the USA, but just discovered that the knife and the sheath are made in China. The knife itself it a nice size, I like the grip and the way it feels in my hand. I do not like the sheath and am accustomed to Buck Knives with leather sheaths but those days are pretty much gone and you have to buy aftermarket most of the time. This knife was a 4 star knife but now that I discovered it is made in China Buck loses 1 star. I honestly don't know if I would have purchased these knives if I had known where they were made. Still an ok knife though for the price. Anyway, I am giving it 4 stars based on initial impression, it came pretty darn sharp although I still ran it across my strop a few times out of habit, and I don't know what I will do with it, my knife collection is getting as large as my wife's shoe collection! But it's "perty"

Excelente producto! ULTRA recomiendo
