will this unit remove cigarette odor?

I've had the earlier version of this model since 2012 and it is annoyingly not effective at odor removal. I had used a round Honeywell purifier since the 90s and they were and still are better at odor removal. I kinda hate my Rabbit Air bc it's pretty but I don't know if it even cleans up mold and dust. :(

HOW effective is RABBIT AIR MODEL 700A with PET DANDER?

I have not noticed any major difference, having 3 dogs and 2 cats. We initially bought the unit for our office, but I tried it in my house for a week when we realized the unit simply could not perform as an effective smoke eater (as advertised). It performed a tiny bit better in a less harsh environment, but again the results were negligible. Honestly got better results opening windows, and that doesn't cost $600 (+$100/yr for filters)...

Can anyone provide information about whether this unit produces ozone (& if so, how much)?

If the negative ion generator is on, it DOES produce ozone. The levels are below those required by the California Air Resources Board. However, recent information indicates that no level of ozone is safe. So I personally wouldn't use the ion generator.

Bought a house from smokers, have done all the repainting, prof ionizer trtmnt, etc. Can this finish off that slight old smoke smell that remains?

I had a similar situation, my old downstairs apartment neighbor smoked and the smell would creep into my place. This got rid of the smell in the room it was in (about 250-300 sq feet), while it was on.
