Sunlite Alloy Double MTN Lever, Black/Silver

I have a mountain bike that came with hydraulic disc brakes. My problem is that I have a prosthetic left arm and can not effectively use the left brake lever. I searched for a single handle hydraulic brake lever that could control both front and rear calipers but could not find one. I found the Pyramid Alloy Mountain Bike Dual Cable Brake Lever and decided to replace my hydraulic calipers with mechanical calipers. I 've put about 150 miles on the bike with this brake lever and the mechanical brake calipers and they are working great. The dual cable brake lever was easy to install and the cables can be adjusted to change brake balance between the front and rear calipers. I was able to use the brake rotors that came with the bike and have not had any problem with this combination. I would recommend this product to anyone that needs to control 2 mechanical brakes with 1 lever.

Tired of using two hands to brake? Try this. One handle for both brakes. Be careful though... since it pulls both brakes simultaneously with the same force, you could go over the handlebars if you pull too hard. So squeeze that trigger gently. You only get the trigger handle and the ring clamp with this. Only one, not two. No cables or other brake hardware. Just the trigger and the clamp to attach it to the handlebars. It is designed to be a right-handed pull, but you can make it lefty by attaching it upside-down on the left handlebar. I got this because someday I might replace my coaster brake with a rear caliper brake... but for now I am only using it for the front brake and it seems ok. I don't have the cable cutting tools for doing a home brake job though, so I bought the parts and paid a local bike shop to install everything. Really though it installs just like a regular brake trigger. Except you connect both brake lines to the same handle. So if you've ever done your own bike brakes before you should be fine with installing this.

NOTE: I put this on my home built 49cc 4-stroke motorbike with rim brakes NOT A REGULAR BIKE. It's very good quality and design for the price, but it can be a challenge to set the brakes correctly so you have the right force on front and rear. I found out that personally I don't like not being able to modulate my front brake separately from the rear. Since my motorbike is relatively heavy and braking is the biggest challenge on it, I'm going to switch back to a two-lever system, but I think this could work on an everyday commuter bike or something like that, and maybe it would work well with adjustable disc brakes. I would never attempt to put it on one of my mountain bikes that would be suicidal on the downhills!

Sing I Love about it is the only brake lever that I would use for gas bicycles because it makes the simplicity of it very good the only bad thing is takes so long for it to actually install it and get it dialed in just right so that when you pull the brake lever it doesn't lock up one the front one before the back one you have to find tune it and get it it can be complicated and not for everybody but for gas bicycles phenomenal

This is awesome use both breaks at the same time, brilliant!!! It's inexpensive and let's u actualy stop doing 50 mph on a bicycle without feeling like your gonna flip or not give even pressure to each tire and the front locks more than the back if you need this get it its solid

These are increasingly used on motorized bicycle applications. With that said, even on a normal bicycle these levers are too short. These are 4 and 1/2 inches long and my hydraulic brake lever is 6 inches...You cant cut it longer, only shorter! Or you can cut the handlebar grip. It needs to be available in all black and also for the left side (Duh! Right side has a motorcycle hydraulic brake). Yes I knew most of this from the get go. I also have to mount this upside down for the left side. I will use the front/rear brake on the left side (primarily as back up) and the front disc brake on the right. On the plus side this thing is low $$$, but I wanted to order a real one from the UK (all black and made for the left side), but the UK one was kind of pricey.

I installed on my motorized bike. I like the ease of operation controlling both front and rear brakes with one lever freeing up my clutch lever side. Works as it should and seems to be well made.

Great solution for motorized bike builds. Putting a 2 stroke motor on my bike revealed that the clutch needed to go on the handlebars. That meant I needed to figure out what to do with the front break control. This item allowed me to keep both front and rear brakes while having the clutch on the handlebars as well. A very tidy solution for my setup. So far working fine for me. Thanks folks.

Just what we were looking for. We have a Taga 3 wheeler and this allows the 2 wheels to brake together. Better than the original splitter.
