Holds well!
I made a barbed wire stretcher using this clamp. It holds very well using quite a bit of force. Very pleased!

Not to bad for the money
Works well, if working with telephone strand wire and its not center it will slip in between the jaws and get stuck. Comes out easy though. Does not slip when pulling cable stand back up.

I needed this for a relatively lightweight job. The amount of tension I needed to pull was generated pulling by hand so was well under 100 lbs. of pull. This unit is only rated for 1 ton but for my application, this was way more than enough. I've wanted one of these tools for a while but never wanted to pay the price I see in retail outlets so I was happy to find this one at a fraction of the price. The tools seems well made. I will only use it occasionally but when I need it, nothing else really does the job this does. I can't say how it would hold up to daily commercial or farm type use.

Garbage for barbed wire,or tension wire!
Piece of garbage!the wire keeps slipping on the side of the wedge,way to much play in it, don't waste your money if you buy it to install fence!
