Flame King Propane Refill Fitting Adapter Valve for 1LB Camping Refillable Tank Cylinders

I finally had an opportunity to use this. I used this to fill one pound Flame King propane canisters from a 20lb tank. Refilling it was pretty straight forward. Flip the 20 lb tank over, attach this adapter valve, screw on the refillible canister, losen the release on the canister, open the propane, and pull the handle until you see gass coming out. Then reverse all the steps. I don't have the flame kind stand either. I did this just by sitting the 20lb tank upside down on the edge of a table, and hanging the 1lb tank off the edge. This worked fine. The stand seemed unneccesary. It did exactly what it needed to do, transferring propane from the 20lb tank to smaller 1lb tanks, which I then used on my coleman portable grill. I have a few devices that use those 1lb tanks, a coleman camp stove, a coleman grill, a Mr. Buddy heater, but I didn't use them that much, because of the cost and waste associated with those 1lb canisters, and now that restriction is completely gone. I absolutely love this thing and can see myself using the devices I have, and even potentially buying more devices now that I have it. Being able to use this to refill the small canisters will greatly reduce the cost to own and operate devices that uses these small canisters. So much so, that it could actually offset the cost of the devices themselves.

I tried several other filling adapters from Temu and Harbor Freight and none would work but this one works perfectly. Should have gone with it to begin with.

My husband bought this for himself last year and he likes it so much he had me order one for our son. It works much better than other valves he has tried for refilling. Great price and very efficient product.

I use this to refill the small Flame King bottles. It works exactly as described. The lever valve makes it easy to start and stop the filling process, no fumbling with a knob. The indexing system is flawed though; the tab is a tiny piece of plastic and will eventually break off, and there is no visual indicator where the tab is. And since it is free to spin around, it can be anywhere. You literally have to look upside-down "under" the connector to see where it is. And if you don't line it up correctly, it still attaches but either smashes the tab, or doesn't fill. Once you learn how to use it, it's fine, but the design is flawed.

I don't know why I put off this purchase for so long. We camp, mostly off grid or dispersed, @ 22 weeks per year. Between the Coleman Lantern and Mr Heater Buddy we use a significant amount of propane canisters. I had been using a simple tank to canister adapter to refill the dark green propane canisters you buy at Walmart. Trouble is it took several mount/dismount, bleed, repeat, cycles to refill one. And you never really knew if the canister was full. The Flame King fill device and Flame King Refillable Canisters simplify the process significantly! I was able to fill four canisters in the time it would have taken to fill one with the old adapter. And you can tell when you have a full cylinder. Awesome! I purchased the filler device and 2 Canister 2 packs. This was money well spent and will service us for years.
