any body have problems put on the lid and stay close?

It takes a bit to put it on, but once on seems to stay nice and tight. I really like these bowls but don't recommend putting lids in the dishwasher.

are these sturdy enough to be used as mixing bowls or are they better as storage bowls?

I would use an electric hand mixer, but yes you could use them as mixing bowls.

How can I restore the lead once it has been microwaved it got all bent up?

I would put it in the sink with very hot water let it sit for a while and see if you can bend it back into shape

Can you freeze food in them?

I did not like frozen foods kept in the container. They are not airtight therefore anything over a day or two is freezer burned.
