OXO Good Grips Wooden Saute Paddle

I use this all the time when cooking and stirring. Sturdy.

I just received this Saute Paddle yesterday. I haven't used it or washed it yet. I will update this review once I have used this product for a while. This saute paddle overall length is 12 inches long. The paddle itself is 4 inches long by 2 1/2 inches wide. It is made out of one solid piece of beech wood. It has a natural oil finish. It is safe for non-stick cookware. It has a hole for hanging at the end of the handle. Hand wash only. My first impression of this saute paddle is that the natural oil finish is stunning. The one-piece beech wood is beautifully carved with no defects. It is very smooth. It is solid but not heavy. I have always had either heavy plastic/acrylic like or silicone saute paddles. I am excited to use this. I hope it lasts. I will let you know.

First off, right out the packaging I could tell it was much more solid than the one I was retiring. Opening it up and taking it out, the weight was perfect for the size of it. The tip had the best angle that scrapes the whole pot. Well worth the money. Interested to see how long this one will last. The one I’m retiring lasted 6months until it got weak in the middle and broke.

End is curved so the entire end does not meet the pan. Good quality but design could be better

Great thick spoon. I sanded with 800 grit sandpaper and oiled before using. I melt 3 parts coconut oil and 1 part beeswax for my wood oil and applied every few hours until it was fully hydrated. Hopefully I can prevent cracking since other reviews stated they cracked quickly.

All around great wooden tool for cooking. We’ve already gotten a second one.

I like the saute paddle and corner spoom and use them all the time. They are both pleanty sturdy. The paddle shape works well for scraping and light chopping. The corner spoon is good at incorporating everything and can be used to break up food as well. Even though it is not recommended, I have put them through the dishwasher quite a few times without issue. Might quicken it going bad or splitting, but convenience wins. My only gripe would be that I tend to stir clockwise, so I wish the corner on the spoon was on the other side. Or both sides for that matter. Como todos los productos de esta marca, tiene muy buena calidad. Resistente y recomendable para su uso con el calor ya que no corres el riesgo de que el producto se derrita como en el caso de los de plástico.

This paddle splintered badly after hand washing and split after a few uses. Very disappointed in the quality.

Very useful for stir frys, however the wood was a bit dry when delivered and needed a bit of oiling prior to first use.
