Shock Doctor Compression Shorts with Protective Bio-Flex Cup, Moisture Wicking Vented Protection - Adult

Lets be real, no part of wearing an athletic cup is going to be considered "comfortable". However, these compression shorts were a game changer. They fit snug, no worrying about the cup sliding and they are a very comfortable material. Inserting and removing the cup is a breeze and they are super durable. I really like the length as well. I bought this for MMA classes and having them as additional coverage during rolls was more than welcome!

I'm 5'8, 230lbs and I ordered an XL thinking I would need the room. They fit great, but I should have gone with a L for the extra tightness. When wearing the cup, which was super comfy btw, because the lycra wasn't as tight as it should have been, the cup tended to move sideways - not what you want your cup to do! This is not the manufactory, it's because I should have gone L - that extra tightness would prevent the cup from moving. I've reordered in a size L. Get the right size for you and you'll love it!

Fit great well made on my second season with them

I use these for Muay Thai. As compression shorts without the cup in, these don't work very well. This was expected. They have room to place the cup so if that is not in there, as you are moving around and going through your kicks etc they tend to chafe because of the loose material around the groin area. As for how they work with the cup installed though, originally I liked them quite a bit, but the more I used them the more I wasn't so sure. During sparring sessions, when I wore these shorts I would find myself in significant discomfort as the cup actually sits in a "pocket" right in the front of the shorts. This is fine and dandy to keep the cup in place where it needs to be......But....when you were a cup, by very definition of the name, it should "cup" the jewels you are trying to protect. This way if you get hit accidentally it spreads the impact to the outsides. Because the cup is in a pocket, there is fabric on the back side going flat across the cup and preventing it from cupping the family jewels. This keeps constant pressure on your testicles which is extremely uncomfortable as you start to really exert yourself during a sparring session etc. Secondly, it keeps it spaced a small distance away from your genitals. This prevents it from doing what it was designed to do. If you get hit in the groin (which can happen with an inexperienced sparring partner etc, or even just by accident) it doesn't protect you all that well. You still take significant impact directly on the testicles from the material going across the back of the cup versus the impact spreading to the outer edges of the cup. Finally, because of that gap, certain...components tend to move around behind it, I have seen (on at least two occasions now) where one of the family jewels etc was actually pinched behind the edge of the cup during a misplaced kick. Not a fun scenario. It's a cool idea, but could use a little tuning.

Great for the money. It’s never comfortable wearing a cup but it’s nice to know that I am protected. These shorts didn’t restrict my movements in anyway

I want grandbabies and this is a cheap way to make sure that's still possible! My son uses these for rollerhockey and it keeps the nuts safe on a direct shot.

It’s very good fit and works as expected

Ich habe mir die Shock Doctor Herren Suspensorium Core Compression Shorts bestellt und kann nur sagen, dass sie wie angegossen passen. Der Stoff ist von sehr hoher Qualität und fühlt sich angenehm auf der Haut an. Besonders praktisch finde ich den abnehmbaren Hodenschutz. Man hat die Flexibilität, entweder mit Schutz zu trainieren oder die Shorts einfach als Compression Shorts zu nutzen. Das ist ein großes Plus, da man somit vielseitig einsetzbar ist. Ein weiterer entscheidender Vorteil ist, dass der Hodenschutz wirklich gut sitzt. Ich habe schon Unfälle gesehen, bei denen der Schutz verrutscht ist und es zu ernsthaften Verletzungen gekommen ist. Ein Trainingspartner von mir hat genau das erlebt und musste aufgrund einer Verletzung operiert werden. Sein linker Hoden ist faustgroß angeschwollen! Dank des gut anliegenden Schutzes und des hochwertigen Materials kann ich dieses Produkt nur empfehlen. Es verdient definitiv die vollen 5 Sterne!

Die Short von Schock Doctor ist eine von mehreren Sorten (Slips und Shorts) und Marken die ich getestet habe. Bei den anderen Marken hatte ich Probleme mit der Größe oder dem Sitz des Tiefschutzes bei viel Bewegung, Wechsel von Stand zu Boden, Guard-Position, Hohe Kicks. Da klappte der Schutz von unten her hoch, verfehlte komplett seinen Sinn, oder der eingesetzte Cup schützte zu wenig den Dammbereich. Cups und Shorts unterschiedlicher Marken zu vermischen klappt selten zufriedenstellend. All diese Probleme hatte ich bei Shock Doctor nicht, im Gegenteil die Erwartungen an einen angenehmen und funktionellen Schutz wurden voll erfüllt. Dazu muss gesagt werden, daß ich bei Gewicht 67kg und 172cm die Größe S (Grenzbereich zu M) genommen habe, die nach einmaliger Trainingseinheit dann perfekt passte, vorher war sie wie zu erwarten etwas eng, eine M wäre erfahrungsgemäß ein stück zu schlabbrig. Der mitgelieferte Core-Cup reicht auch für meine Bedürfnisse völlig aus, verwindet sich gut mit der Eigenbewegung, Schutzfunktion ist sehr gut. Das Material ist ist mitteldick und mittelschwer, sehr robust aber angenehm zu tragen, kein Hitzestau, gleichmäßiger Wärmegrad ist möglich. Die vielen zusätzlichen Nähte (Vertikal Oberschenkel vorne) und Stretcheinsätze (X-Fit im Schritt bis Beckenboden) halten alles am Platz auch bei großem Bewegungsumfang. Anscheinend gibt es inzwischen eine neuere Version davon (ohne Oberschenkelmittelnaht vertikal), beim Trainingskollegen gesehen, der dann die wie oben beschriebenen Probleme hatte, da hilft nur Ausprobieren. Tipp zum Anziehen: Sumo-mäßig, also normal hochziehen, dann einmal links und rechts das Bein seitlich hoch anheben und dabei die Innenseiten zum Schritt hin ziehen, bis sich der Unterleibsbereich "entspannt" anfühlt. Die Farbe Weiß ist eher eine "Creme-Weiß", für wen das wichtig ist. Hab für deutlich unter empfhl. Verkaufspreis gleich drei gekauft, bin sehr zufrieden. Lieferung war schnell und gut verpackt, mitgelieferte ausführliche Rechnung war dabei.
