I bought this for my dewalt SDS, as the original one fell apart (after years!) Now, I'm not a power user, and am not likely to use this all that often - the old one was used a lot by my Dad, but he did a lot more with it than I will. As such, this seems well made and sturdy. And perfect for my needs. I've used it a fair a few times on some pretty hefty wall bricks and so far, its going strong. So it fit the drill well, and all the bits fit perfectly, making it a great replacement for the old dewalt one. And it was considerably cheaper than a dewalt original too, so good on price. As an amateur who isn't likely to use it all that much, I would recommend.

Lovely bought this so I can use my sds drill ( because it has bigger batteries) to put the Augers I bought to drill in the ground at my allotment for ease of use, making holes for my potato 🥔 seeds and also my Leeks they make the neatest holes and saves me time especially as the ground gets really hard.

Built to fit SDS drill, but definitely not made for use with SDS drill! Fell apart within 2 minutes!

I bought the chuck in January 2025, I'm not a tradesman and I only do the odd small job say once a month The drill copes with gripping the drill well - but sometimes too well! I cant get the bit out of the chuck sometimes, and it deters me from using it thinking I'll have to wrestle with it for 5 or 10 minutes to get the drill bit out.

This adapter makes an sds driver usable with other bits. Tightening the adapter on a bit results in a click when you've reached the limit and it won't tighten any further. Read other reviews about the adapter breaking quickly. Comparing this to a famous brand sds adapter the famous brand emphasizes that it is only for non hammer uses. It seems reasonable that the same would apply to this adapter, the added stress of hammer drilling will likely shorten the life of this adapter. Another point is that this should only be used in the clockwise rotation. From the exploded diagram in the product listing the adapter shaft is threaded into the body and might loosen if used in the counterclockwise direction. If it does come loose you should be able to reattach it. With these limitations it could allow more uses from your sds tool at a lower price than better known brands.
