Love this binder! I’ve been using Five Star products for a long time and all throughout my education. This item in particular will definitely keep me organized and it is very much so easy to use and for a reasonable price. I ordered this specifically to use for organizing my notes and such as I study for the LSAT. Although it does not have a zipper like some of my former FS binders, I think it will be just as effective and my work won’t really require a zipper anyway. Firstly, the binder is very lightweight and flexible and can be folded in half which I prefer as I cannot fathom a rigid and heavy binder. Although it is light it is also very seemingly durable. The first three inserts have a top flap and bottom portion to keep your papers in place as well as a large bottom pocket to store, preferably, index cards or whatever you’d like. It also comes with seven sticker labels for each insert. Hooray! The next four inserts have a top securing flap and large plastic flap to perhaps be used for a page cover or for papers needing extra protection. Following those is a generous amount of paper provided. It is of good quality. In addition, I went ahead and ordered the specific Five Star reinforced paper. It has a strip along the margin containing the holes that keep them from easily tearing out when being turned. I highly recommend this! Something else special about this binder is the binder rings themselves. They are a very strong and durable plastic that you can pull open, individually, and so much less a pain than the typical metal ones that become warped over time causing the entire binder to lose practicality. We are so pleased with this. On the description it suggests using it as a notebook, but we use it as a binder. Last year we went through four of the plastic binders (for one kid!) but didn’t want to purchase the cloth/briefcase type because it didn’t fit in the backpack we had. We tried this and are so glad we did! The plastic loops are very flexible and bend easily. To open them you just pull on them. The binder is fairly small but fits US Letter sized paper. It is slim, quality, and honestly a little expensive compared to the cheap plastic ones, but you can use them for years. The colors are a little plain and they don’t have a wide variety of choices, but the durability makes up for it! We really loved it because you could fold it in half neatly, which is great for sharing small desks with multiple books. One issue to know about: the rings are a little difficult to open, so maybe not for young kids. Overall, we love this binder and we are buying again for all the kids. Rating: 4.8 (I rounded up!) 0.2 taken away for plain colors. But it’s really not that bad an issue!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I’m very happy with this notebook! It’s sturdy, well-made, and keeps all my notes organized in one place. The TechLock rings are secure, the pockets and dividers are very useful, and I love that it’s refillable. The study app is a nice bonus for staying organized. Highly recommend it for students or anyone who takes a lot of notes!

I really like this Five Star binder by Mead! If you’re someone who prefers the telescoping notebooks but wants one with larger rings, this is a great option. The rings give you more room to flip pages without everything getting caught, and the cover folds back like a notebook if you need extra space on a desk or table. It’s sturdy, easy to use, and just feels better than the smaller‑ring versions.

The 5-Star Flex Binder is really easy to use and holds a lot! I use it for my Patient Care Technician notes, and it helps keep everything super organized. The built-in dividers are a great feature because not only do they keep my notes separate, but I can also label them for even better organization. Another thing I love is that it’s easy to put papers in, whether they have punch holes or not, because some dividers have pockets—which is really convenient! The flexibility of the binder is great, but when turning pages, it’s not a completely smooth turn, so you have to be a bit careful because it feels slightly restricted. That’s the only downside for me. But overall, it’s a really nice binder, holds a lot, and looks super clean and professional for school and is pretty durable in quality for the value.

I try to keep my notes on my computer but try as I may I just need it on paper! I’m totally loving this notebook. For the pros: The front and back covers are very durable. The dividers are awesome! I love the tab design and that several of the dividers have pockets! The 3 rings are pliable so you don’t have to worry about breaking them easily. The rings also have nice opening/closure clasps. For the cons: It would be very nice if additional dividers with and without pockets could be made available for purchase. Why do different binder colors not cost the same? Once you start to fill this notebook to capacity, it’s hard to add an additional page in the front due to the design of the rings. Also, the more you load into this notebook the harder it is to turn pages without tearing the paper. Overall, I really like this notebook and would buy again.

We buy these for homeschooling and they are FAR superior to normal binders. The rings stay closed and due to the flexible nature these notebook/binders last SO much longer. The included folders/dividers are sturdy and useful. Comes with tabs to customize. Will continue to buy!
