Fresh Product!🤩 5 Stars for using these in a hydroponic system, not a spa.
The information that is important for everyone’s purposes is the expiration date for this product. There were other brands that I considered purchasing but I chose not to because the recent reviews had shown that people were being shipped an expired product. Not this one!🥰 As you can see by the photo of the box, it has an expiration date of May 25th, 2025. That gives me a year and a half to use these strips which is perfect for my needs. It is also something to consider when choosing the quantity of strips that you will purchase. Will you be able to use all the strips in the time before they expire? A last thing to add about this is that the expiration date is on the box. It is not also on the container which is typical nowadays. So, before you throw away the box, it might be a good idea to write the expiration days on the container itself. Now I will write about my hydronic system needs so this part of my review may or may not be applicable to your needs. I have been having challenges keeping my hydroponic system in balance so that roots will grow on my cuttings. I finally found a person online that said to use spa test strips to gauge the correct amount of Free Chlorine. So, based on good reviews for some tests, not all tests, I chose these Varify ones. Some reviewers that gave this brand 1 or 2 stars said that the readings on cyanuric acid and calcium hardness are not accurate. So, if that is what you are looking for in a water test, then it might be good to look at the most recent reviews because there is a possibility that this was an issue with just one batch. They may have remedied the test to be more accurate now. However, for my purposes, this test kit is working well in ways that I didn’t even realize were something that Needed to be fixed. I had no idea that water hardness was an issue in my water! Also, my acidity is off the charts low! So, I will be using additives to adjust those things. For now, the difference between the before and after is simply adding bleach. The Free Chlorine reading should be between 2ppm and 4ppm in a hydroponic system. I was shocked to look at the reading (see Before photo attached) of the test before I added more bleach (in a hydroponic system you can add chlorine or bleach as a sanitizer to increase the amount of Free Chlorine). I had absolutely no sanitizer in my system as you can see by the clear swatch next to Free Chlorine. No wonder I was having a challenge getting my cuttings to grow roots! I did the test actually 3 times and adjusted after each time. You can see my final test in the After Photo I attached). You can see that the Free Chlorine reading is now a touch high for a hydroponic system but close enough to work. The test was easy to do, easy to read, and I have hope now of being successful with my hydroponic system. What a relief!

Simple and Handy Pool Test Strips
The Varify 7 in 1 Pool and Spa Test Strips are very easy to use and give a quick overview of the water quality. They’re convenient for checking multiple levels at once without needing complicated equipment. The results are fairly clear, though not always as precise as liquid test kits. Overall, a reliable and simple tool for regular pool and spa maintenance.

Strips are Strips
What I thought was cool with this brand was getting 100 strips and 50 of them in an airtight package for future use. The problem is, as with most test strips, I'm getting inaccurate readings. I learned years ago, I didn't have the patience, math skills for vials and counting drops The bottom line if you rely on strips to test your water which I do religiously, then never rely on just one strip brand and even one batch within that brand....you will eventually mess up your pool if you don't use multiple strips when getting ready to balance. One batch could be good and the next fails. I keep/use anywhere from 3-5 different strips (brands or batch) if I'm remotely thinking I need to balance my pool. It's important you check one strip against the others as a "control" What never fails, is if the test strips are bad, it's always one or two of the pads on either end of the strip that fail. In the case of this batch of Varify, TA and PH (at bottom of strip) are reading way low, when my 4 other test strips are reading accurately for PH and TA. It must be how they are handled in the manufacturing process. I'll buy them again, because as I say maybe the next batch will read more accurate compared to the whatever 3 or 4 other strips I'm using at the time.

Easy to use but I'm not sure of the accuracy
very handy. I perfrom water tests for customers and added this to check for Nitrates. I'm not sure how accurate it is, since the hardness on the tester, was less than the chemical test I used, and use everyday. Can't say which is closer to being accurate, but chemical testing seems more accurate in my opinion.

Very effective strips. Highly recommended.
These seem to be the best strips now. Easy to see the various shades of colour that makes it easy to telĺ what your PH is etc. It also matches the results from the liquid indicator system. The other panels are also very easy to read. The patches actually match the colours on the legend. I have replaced my HTH strips with these, after they changed them for the worse. All the other brands I have tried are pretty much useless.

Accurate, Affordable, and Reliable – Excellent Value!
I’m fully satisfied with this product. These test strips offer excellent value for money — 100 strips for around $13 is hard to beat. More importantly, the results are accurate and reliable. I compared them on three different occasions to water tests done by a professional pool technician using lab-grade equipment, and the readings were remarkably consistent. The strips provide clear readings for chlorine, bromine, pH, alkalinity, hardness, and more. For everyday pool maintenance, they’re more than sufficient and allow for quick, convenient testing. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a cost-effective and trustworthy solution for monitoring your pool water quality.
