Yep, 5 stars, not perfect of course but if the point is to reward for great design and performance this is a 5. The morning I ordered this pan, I made a cheesecake using my cheap old springform pan. When I went to transfer it to the oven the bottom fell out. Ok, I know, but we all have stupid moments. The reason it fell out was because it couldn't clap tightly because it was just that much out of round. I made a cheesecake today and it was wonderful: larger better made clamp, thicker metal, and easy plating. I didn't know I needed that feature but it's a dream. It's weird looking but it's definitely "where have you been all my life" type of product

It’s the Cadillac of springform cake pans. Love it! I wasn’t sure if I should spend the money, but glad I did. Easy to lift out of the hot oven because of it’s lip, no weird tight corner to scrub free of stuck batter, and the lip catcher any seeping liquids like butter from cake pan making it easy to clean both the pan and the oven. Worth the cost.

I had a great-quality 9” springform pan that I used for years, but it was old-style non-stick, which I’m trying to get rid of. This was the replacement option I picked - I checked the Fat Daddio’s site, and they say their anodized bakeware “contains no extra metals, chemical additives, dyes, PFAS, PTFE’s or PFOA’s.” This is a very sturdy pan. The latch works easily, and I had no trouble getting the label off the pan I received. (I did have that happen once in the past, with a regular cake pan of theirs, but I think they’ve fixed the problem.) The little tray around the bottom is a great feature, too - no batter or melted butter spilling out into the water bath or oven, it all stayed in the trough. It does mean I would have to get an extra-large - probably 12” - silicone sleeve to use inside a water bath. I tried an 11”, and it was too small, so put the water bath on the next shelf down. Last but not least, this worked about as well as my old non-stick pan at releasing the cake. I’m sure all the butter in the crust helped, but still. Cleanup was easy, too - it didn’t cling to the cheesecake remnants. Love this pan - definitely glad I picked it.

Fit and finish were excellent. With the 10" diameter, I had to find an aluminum roasting pan big enough to hold the pan. For those who use a hot water bath when making cheesecake, you will still need to wrap the springform pan, as it is not waterproof.

I made 2 cheesecakes for a crowd of friends yesterday. They both turned out perfectly! I especially liked the design of the bottom being raised and that the pan heats uniformly. Removal from the pan was a breeze with no injury to the cakes.

No me equivoqué en mi elección, este Fat daddio anodizado de aluminio, es un molde pequeño para realizar creaciones domésticas para buenos pasteles y que garantiza buenos resultados, lo digo por que es un molde con buen material metálico, de aluminio anodizado y la traba de acero y bien ensamblado, además de su diseño ta bien pensado de su base , tiene excelentes refuerzos y hacen muy buena sujección de sus paredes, no tengo idea si tiene filtraciones por que me aseguro que eso no suceda ya que le coloco papel estrella en su base para reforzar el evitar tales fugas líquidas. Lo recomiendo como producto para merecer. 5 estrellas sin duda.

I wanted to make a raised game pie but the traditional tins are really expensive. Then I saw this and decided to give it a go. I'm glad I did. It was excellent. Built in leakage/drip tray is a good tight fit. Pie didn't stick and it's easy to clean. Very happy with it. I've used it for cakes, baked cheese cakes and as a bread mold since the pie and it's been good.

Would have been perfect if it was leakproof. Not advertised as such but I was hoping it was.
