With the Wildwood Farms ladybug habitation box, now you can invite thousands of these colorful insects to live in your backyard and practice their own brand of natural pest control. Simply mount this handsome and solidly constructed redwood box slightly off the ground and it's ready for use. It doesn't take much to furnish this house, either. Remove the lid by taking out the screws and fill the interior mulch tray with decomposed or partially decomposed leaves to serve as a hatchery and safe haven for your ladybug larvae. If you're using a ladybug lure (not included), it can be tacked to the inside of the lid. This habitation box stands just over 10 inches tall and has a predrilled hole for mounting. The front of the box features a charming ladybug painting. Review: One Star - did not do the trick Review: Good lady bug house but could buy it else where cheaper - Great ladybug house, and easy to use and maintain but unlike the detail says, it did not come with a pre-drilled hole for mounting. Not a big deal but not as specified. best used with ladybug lure. Other one on desertcart says for about 15 bucks cheaper and same product.

Ladybugs are Friends! Draw them where you want them!
Combined with a "Ladybug Lure," I successfully keep 99% of the ladybugs outside my house each fall. I used to have to vacuum up hundreds of these "misunderstood" creatures each fall/spring, and as an avid gardener, I hate killing them. They are voracious aphid and pest eaters, and I want them in my garden each summer. But in the fall they enter the house to hibernate. Put a little mulch inside this house, tack a ladybug lure to it (I use the brand Safer Ladybug lures) and you will have only a handful that still "sneak in." The lure has a pheronome in it that attracts the ladybugs to the house. I have one attached to the 4x4 under my deck - and they still don't come in the house. You can put one in your garden to lure them to your aphid prone plants in the summer. The lures are harder and harder to find so I buy them online; retailers have told me it is because people don't want to attract them - heck, you just need to understand this beneficial insect.
