JOYO Digital Delay Effect Pedal Mild and Mellow Circuit Delay for Electric Guitar Effect - True Bypass ("Analog" Delay JF-33)

-Been onstage for over 37 years, and I have the finest expensive pedalboard imaginable...but... I use this delay pedal on a 2nd small pedalboard for small gigs and it does everything perfectly! From a short slapback to arena-sized delay times. (approx. 0-400ms) Very easy to "set & forget." Very smooth tone with no harshness or cheap audio anomalies...it just works well. Uses the common standard 9v power supply or 9v battery. As with all pedals, you have to completely unplug them or the battery will drain overnight. My only complaint is that you need to remove 4 small screws to replace the battery. (I use a power supply) but after five years of use I had severe problems getting the screws out when my power supply failed at the gig. Hard aluminum case similar in size to the MXR pedals. DC power jack is on the side next to the Input Jack instead of the front which may affect how your cables are conveniently (or not so) placed. This is my 2nd Joyo Analog Delay pedal. The first one lasted over 5 years with no problems, and for only $31 dollars ($150 cheaper than my Boss pedal) I couldn't be happier! Hope this helps!

After more time to think about it. I would like to explain my original review show in the last paragraph. Today, I think fairness I should say that this is a very good pedal and does Analog Delay very well and it is well constructed. In my paragraph below what I should have said is: An excellent Analog Delay. Great sounding and well constructed. I just realize that Analog is no longer my bag. If you prefer Digital Delay more so I do have 3 (yes that's right 3) Joyo Digital Delays that I like so much when I bought the first one I bought a second one. One for the rehearsal room and One to take on the road. Then I got the third digital delay as a spare in my gig bag. Enough rablin" ya'll take care!! It is good quality and sounds ok. I hadn't had an analog delay is some time so for the price I thought I would take a stab at it. This reminded me why I quit buying analog delays. Sounds ok but for a few dollars more get the Joyo Digital Delay (which I highly Recommend)!

It works great! It's not built as well as the more expensive ones, but sounds as good as the expensive ones!

Sounds great, but the first pedal stopped working completely after a day. Replacement pedal's delay started cutting out after a similar time frame. You get what you pay for with cheap parts...

Delay is great, very responsive to playing and controls. Sound and build-wise it's as good as an Ibanez/MXR/Boss pedal. The main issue with this one is that it picks up noise from the power adapter! Same power adapters I've been using for years with many pedals from many companies, never happened before. You can actually hear the frequency of the adapter. Also, it's microphonic! If I tap on the pedal I can hear it through the amp! Overall, good for rehearsals or training board. DO NOT ATTEMPT to gig or record with it.

The delay is thick but clear, with that “analog” fading fidelity with each repeat. I am using it for amplified harmonica, so I like the vintage, bluesy sounding echo. Nothing complicated about this pedal, but it sounds great, to me, anyway. All metal shell, the knobs feel good, and the foot switch appears to be very strong. There’s no audible hiss while it’s operating, and when switch switched off, it is also quiet.

No cons, all pros, nice price great sound, gives you that old school delay sound at 1/4 of the price. I own about 10 pedals, 4 very expensive and the rest are less than $40 each, the JOYO is great, and you can buy 4 for the price of 1 and get every sound you want. Customer service is great! had an issue with a different pedal not working and we got it resolve fairly quickly. You really can't go wrong, Like I said save your money for other things, like the dream guitar or amp. My board is plugged into a Marshall JVM410 with 4X12 1960B cab

In my humble opinion, regardless of cost, any delay pedal should have more character. Even within this pedal's knob's parameters, I found that the range and sweep of the knobs were not to my liking. Your ability to finesse the threshold point of self-generating feedback is especially compromised by how the knobs are set, as a very tiny motion is the difference between a delay that trails off within a second, and an awful cascade. This only exacerbates the poor sound character of this delay, as the result is an awful sounding delay that's hard to control. I know it's a wildly cheap pedal, cheap pedals have a place in my heart, but I personally think the world would be better without it.

Zero Stars! I would not reccomend this product to anyone. I am extremely disappointed in the design and execution of this "delay". It never worked i opened it up after a few weeks cause i didn't have a proper screwdriver. I finally got the battery in a few days ago. I put the cords in proper inputs and lights on and BAM! like anti-climax...nothing happened. Just same sound. I will not buy from this company again.

C'est extrêmement dommage, car j'espérais beaucoup de JOYO qui a de très bon prix/qualité. Après 2 utilisations, la pédale à cesser de fonctionner avec un transformateur 9v (Donner DP-1 Power supply)! Aucun effet. Ça fonctionne seulement avec une batterie. Finalement elle a cessé complètement de fonctionner même avec une batterie. L'effet était excellent, mais je n'ai pas vraiment pu l'essayer.
