Comfortable and wide enough for both legs— or a small pet
I’ve only had this pillow about 3 weeks, but so far, it’s amazing if you have a broken foot or leg. I can’t speak yet to how it will hold up over time, but it feels sturdy and shows no signs of compression, even though I’m on it nearly 24 hours a day. It’s very comfortable, and it “inflated” quickly (only took a few hours, but I still waited nearly 24 hours to use it like the directions suggestions). And no weird smell! It’s narrower than several pillows I looked at but is plenty wide for me to easily put up both legs. My cats and my mom’s dog also love to come lie next to me on it. I think wider pillows would be way too wide, as this fits easily on the couch as well without falling off. The best part is the raised sides so that I don’t slip off in my sleep. I’m naturally a side sleeper, but that’s not possible right with my broken foot. This keeps my leg in place and encourages me to stay on my back. I’m really happy with it so far but will update it if spontaneously combusts or something. Too bad it’s on the pricier side (I paid $51 at the beginning of April 2022) because I would get several for different parts of the house— it’s not easy dragging anything around when you’re on a knee scooter or crutches. The comfort is worth the price, but I won’t be buying two more any time soon after the hospital bills I just received!

Best thing I bought for my Achilles' tendon surgery!
I ordered this in preparation for an Achilles' tendon repair and got a lot of relief using it even before the surgery. The cushion is tall and firm enough to elevate my foot above the level of my heart, and it's nice to have the option to put both feet up there. It's lightweight enough to reposition easily, but the material isn't slippery so it will stay where you put it. One minor drawback is the lack of a strap on the left side; it's harder to pull the cushion close with only one grip. Beware: if you have cats you'll be competing for their favorite new perch. For the first 3 weeks Post-surgery, the cushion was not tall enough to combat the swelling (really, nothing short of traction can do that), but it's wide and sturdy enough to stack 2 regular-sized pillows on top of it -- the dip is the width of a standard pillow so the first addition doesn't slide around. With a second pillow on top it gets more fiddly, but I tucked a blanket around the pillow and upper calf part of my cast and that anchored everything pretty well. When wearing a cast for post-op weeks 2-4, I was advised not to rest the heel and incision directly on a surface (can cause ulcers around the stitches); I turned the cushion so it was perpendicular to my body, stacked the extra bed pillows on top, and kept the surgical site cantilevered over the edge. This method may not work for folks with short legs. After post-op week 4, I was able to use the cushion without extra pillows. I foresee using it for the next several months of recovery, and have no doubt it will hold up to daily use, provided the cats' Cushion Coup does not succeed. I am a side-sleeper, and am able to use the cushion to keep my bad leg elevated pretty comfortably if I angle it to keep the high edge from pressing into my thigh. I do have wide hips and long legs (think Viking); smaller folks may find it's not comfortable for side-sleeping.

Fantastic for circulation - but I was STUPID
This pillow is lightweight and exquisitely designed! It is perfect for post-surgery and poor circulation. You will not be disappointed with its function and value! But I was very STUPID! Just in December at the end of 2022, I was trying to use my flex dollars (FSA contributions) so they would not go to waste before the end of the year, so I ordered a number of health related items from AMAZON. Before I order something I carefully measure and research an item to know exactly where it will fit and how it will be utilized. I knew all of the dimensions of this pillow and couldn’t wait for it to arrive. The shipments left outside my townhouse door, I bring them in immediately, even though my neighborhood is very safe, I do not want to take chances with items being taken, because that raises prices for all of us. So there was this one smallish AMAZON box that I neglected to open because I thought it was first-aid items I ordered with my FSA dollars and not my pillow. So finally, I opened this smallish box and I was pissed! There was a plastic-wrapped little pillow, the size of a petite neck roll inside the box. I thought to myself, “Boy did I get ripped off! I shall never order from this company again!!!” So like many busy women, I needed to get to work - for my job as a Patient Information Associate at a medical center in Central Pennsylvania, so I cut the package open and left it on my sofa before I went to work. BIG and Beautiful Surprise when I came home from work!!!! I found an exquisite, sturdy pillow in precisely the dimensions advertised on my sofa!!! It had been vacuum-sealed into a bag smaller than I ever could have imagined for expeditious shipping. So I was ignorant and wrong!!! This is a fabulous product, which relieved pain and provided comfort is precisely as described!!! STUPID ME…on not recognizing vacuum sealing.

Helpful for pre and post ACL reconstruction
I went on Amazon searching for a secure pillow to raise injured leg after suffering from a DVT after an ACL injury. Raising your leg is critical! I was impressed initially with soft cover. It was sturdy foam and deflated from packaging fully within a few hours. There were no odd smells as I had read in other reviews and the two straps were positioned within an easy reach to pull close if a leg adjustment was needed. I’m very glad I chose the larger pillow because it’s nice to be able to have the option to raise the other leg up when sleeping. It is used on our electric sofa recliner and in our king sized bed. The product is well made and I highly recommend. I do think however, if you are purchasing for post ACL surgery you should know that you will need to place a pillow in the well, and add a second small pillow to raise your heel. You learn in recovery that nothing should rest behind your knee and to keep “toes above your nose” (avoid a DVT) when sitting in a couch chair. If you are aware of these simple modifications this LightEase Leg Riser is still a great purchase because your pillows will stay in place in the foot well of the riser. Believe me, there is nothing worse in bed, trying to maneuver your leg immobilizer on a stack of pillows that fall down! I hope you’ll find it as helpful as I in your recovery.

Perfect pillow for ankle/foot elevation, beats the pillow by a mile!
I recently broke my ankle X3 while shoveling snow, and was sent home from the ER with instructions to ice and elevate my foot multiple times during the day. For the first week I slept on the floor (not easy let me tell you) with a pillow "cradling" my foot. Multiple times during the night I would have to wake up and readjust the pillow, as my foot kept sliding off. I saw this pillow while watching youtube videos about ankle fracture recovery, and this particular one was highly recommended by the PT doing the video. I immediately ordered, and have never looked back! This provides the perfect elevation, and both of my feet rest comfortably on the top of this pillow. I particularly like the handles on the side for adjustment, although I would like them even more if my arms were longer. I have used this pillow on the floor, on the bed, on the chaise lounge and on the couch. It has a slim size that does not take up a lot of room for storage when not using. I think this pillow will last a long time, but would not hesitate to purchase again if needed. Highly recommended!

Review after one year of nightly use: Highly recommend
Low back pain necessitated learning to sleep on my back after six decades of stomach/side sleeping. This well made wedge is sturdy yet soft and elevates both legs within a channel that prevents legs from sliding off the sides during sleep. To prevent the wedge from sliding down across my soft sheets during sleep, I attached a sheet of anti-slip under-carpet fabric (similar to bumpy textured shelf liner material) to the bottom of the wedge with four safety pins. I’ve used the wedge every night since purchase a year ago and the benefits are that my low back pain has been greatly reduced, my lower legs no longer swell during the night (no more compression socks needed) and I sleep soundly on my back the entire night without unconsciously rolling over during sleep. I will continue to use this very comfortable leg support wedge for as long as it lasts and will replace it when necessary as I never want to be without it.

Best Wedge Pillow!!!
This pillow has been a life saver (and sleep saver!) for me, as I recently broke one ankle and injured the other, and need to keep both feet still and elevated, especially when sleeping. Regular pillows weren’t stable enough, and I was afraid my legs would end up falling off the sides of a regular wedge pillow during the night. The key feature that makes this one amazing is the U-shaped contoured top, which keeps the legs comfortably in place with no danger of slipping off the sides. Both legs fit on the pillow with a bit of space in between, or you can just rest one leg on it if need be. The removable cover is super soft velvety material that feels wonderful on sore legs. The memory foam is comfortable but firm enough so the legs don’t sink down too much. I had no issues with the pillow “inflating” from the compressed packaging - it expanded quickly and fully after opening. The handles are also a nice touch to be able to pull the pillow closer when you have limited mobility or leg strength. Absolutely worth every penny, as this has allowed me to finally sleep comfortably all night! I think I will still use it for resting my legs even after I’ve recovered!
