Great product just takes patience!
This is a great wifi card for the Mac Pro. A couple of things: the instructions that are mailed with the chip are not great. BUT the seller has a statement in the instructions to email for color pics. I emailed and they were emailed to me in less then an hour. Also, there are 3 wires n my 2008 Mac Pro -- the instructions did not specify which wires to hook up. I called the support number in the instructions and Josh told me to hook up any 2 of the 3 wires. I hooked up 2 of the wires, reassembled and tested the computer. The card recognized and the signal was VERY strong! You do need a magnetic screwdriver and patience. Putting in the tiny screws was a hassle with my big hands and I ended up getting my wife to put them in. Also, the wires take some finagling to get in but it is all doable. This is a DIY install - I would not waste the time or money to take it to a repair shop.

Very, very good.
I installed this card in an old 2006 Mac Pro 1,1 and it works so well! The MP is upstairs in a bedroom at the opposite end of the world from our router. My MS Surface Go can hardly stay connected up there. This wifi card only gets the strongest signal. I could not be happier! If anyone, like myself, wants to rehab old Mac Pros and needs to add wifi, this works better than anything else available!!

Very difficult to install
About 2 hours and 97472 expletives later, I was able to install the card. However the screws do not appear to be the correct size, so the unit is dangling off the board... Appears to work as advertised however. Mac Pro 3,1 (early 2008) on Mojave 10.14.6

Careful this is not a recommended upgrade for you to do but should be done by Apple or a certified Apple tech!
Works like a charm even if it is hard to install. Do your homework well the 2 Antenna wires are hard to plug into the card. Apple provide 3 wires with my Mac Pro 2009 but only wires #1 and 3# should be plugged into the card. The wires are numbered and have a plastic cover that should be left on #2 wire to prevent it from frying your computer. Good luck and you might want to have Apple certified technician install it to be on the safe side.

Userless, rubbish, did not even work, seller wont give money back
Please stay away from this seller. He/She has a very bad attitude. And, the stuff does not even work.

It's little, but works hard! ;^>
I've done two of these and they work awesome! They're not that hard to install...the hardest part is finding the two wires to snap onto the card. Set up is a breeze, and I love having WiFi on my two old Macs!

Works for my 2008 Mac Pro 3,1
I think I spent more time cleaning the inside on the Mac than the install of the card. Had to remove the Bluetooth cable and remove the first 2 hard drive bays.

It works. It just works.

I watched some videos of the install and that was informative but the complaints about the size of the screws and connectors were overstated based on my experience. Having said that it was good to be forewarned that the screws and antenna connectors are quite small. The install went smoothly. This is a very small card so if you have large fingers it might be a problem. I am a big guy and I had very little problem with the install. The unit itself works flawlessly and the system recognized it right away. Like the original it is 802.11n but that hasn't been a problem yet. If you need more speed 802.11ac is indeed better but is a marginally more difficult install and more expensive as you need an adapter card into which the 802.11ac card from an iMac fits. An advantage is it is a combo card so you get Bluetooth 4. Also you have to bring the bluetooth antenna over from the existing bluetooth card, to the other side of the board and bring the USB cable over from the existing Bluetooth card as well. This is all well documented on Youtube.

Works seamlessly, no messing with settings, easy to find online directions and experiences.BTW included instructions have much to be desired.

For my cMac Pro this wireless card worked really well. Just didn't realize the screws were installed with the card. Not the best way imo to package - almost lost them. But overall a definite buy.

Works great but install was slightly complicated when trying to attach the small antennae wires to the terminals on the card. Not technical but fiddly because of small area for big hands.

I bought this little item for my Mac Pro 2009, which does not have WIFI built in. Putting this little card into the computer was tricky because of the size of my fingers and the size of the little wires that need to be inserted into the two sockets on the card. A pair of tweezers helped a lot. Works perfectly.
