I purchased this cacao powder after hearing it could help with two things: satiating appetite and potentially lowering arterial plaque scores. I received a surprisingly high plaque score, and this is the only natural option I’ve heard of that might help address it. Appetite Control: While I’m still monitoring whether it’s helping with my plaque score, I can say I really believe it’s satiating my appetite. When I have it first thing in the morning, I feel notably less hungry throughout the day. Taste and Mixing: It has a fabulous chocolate flavor - even though I’m not particularly a chocolate person, I find the taste really good. It’s unsweetened, giving you control over sweetness levels. In Greek yogurt (my usual method), it doesn’t stir in perfectly and takes a bit of mixing. However, my wife puts it in her coffee and reports it’s delicious - it stirs and mixes with warm liquids very well. In fact, she just added another bag to our Amazon cart! Caffeine Sensitivity: I’m very sensitive to caffeine intake, and I’m happy to report this hasn’t bothered me at all despite containing some natural caffeine from the cacao. I put a tablespoon of this in my oatmeal each morning, along with chia seeds and soy milk with some blueberries, and it's delicious. It doesn't taste like cocoa but it's a really yummy addition once your tastebuds adjust to healthy foods. I also add some to a cup of plain unsweetened soy milk for a healthy snack. Cacao powder does not dissolve, but using a stick blender helps it mix. I buy two bags at a time and will continue to buy this brand. It seems to be good quality. Love the antioxidant polyphenols in cacao.

I did some light research on the product, its uses and purity (probably the exact same thing many people have done). I will say that one reviewer mentioned the heavy metals which are going to be present to some extent so I followed up and consumer reports gave this brand an A plus. I love the flavor! I heated a cup of almond milk and mixed the cacao until dissolved and added honey to taste and some pink salt. Wonderful!!! I wish I had vanilla extract on hand but I will pick some up soon. I don't like heavily sweet chocolate, so this is perfect since I can control the flavor. Considering the health benefits this is a win-win. Thank you to all the reviewers for taking the time. I had some health concerns earlier this year and am setting up a new routine for myself.

Well, the bag is smaller than the previous brand I purchased, but knowing it has healthier lower levels of lead and cadmium makes it worth it. I bought three of them on sale so it was a good value for my money. On that note, it tastes amazing...soothing... no bite or harsh dark chocolate flavor, just smooth chocolate flavor. As for the texture, I really enjoy it. The last one I purchase was chalky. This brand hasn't seemed to be that way. It dissolves into creamy goodness. Occasionally I get a touch of coco at the end, but it's smooth. Does it give me energy? I'm not sure about that, but it does start my morning out well. Warm and cozy. I look forward to it.

I like to add this chocolate to my milk at breakfast, good taste and dissolves well. Has a lot of good properties and my digestion process accepts it gladly.

Tasty & flavorful addition to the day, enjoyable hot or iced. It’s been tried with both traditional milk & plant based options, consistent, smooth. Highly recommend. Also been used with yogurt. Using a mini whisk incorporates the powder with the liquid the best, elevates the beverage!

Really good stuff and great as a hot drink full of anti-oxidants when you first wake up. By itself it’s butter however, so is best mixed with a bit of honey for a low-cal healthy morning wake-me-up.

Actual "cacao" (NOT cocoa) powder that blends well and tastes even better (for unsweetened cacao, that is). I got it to replace coffee and for its health benefits. I prefer this over "cocoa" powders for reasons you can google. The overall texture is very nice and flavor is not too bitter, even without sugars, which surprised me. I will be drinking this one from now on.
