Purchased this Everlast Boxing Heavy Bag Ceiling Mount to use in combination with a heavy duty spring, and a 60lbs. “Aqua” bag. Materials feel sturdy enough, and the assembly instructions are pretty straight forward. My only grip is that the screw that supports the bag is metal and has the sharp edges from the screw part. Everlast should add a small PVC sleeve of some sort, so that it isn’t metal on metal when you hook up your spring, or bag hook to it. Instead, I used electrical tape around the support screw to help prevent the deterioration that will occur from the frequent movement of metal on metal.

I have this set up with a Ringside heavy duty spring and an Outslayer 100lb heavy bag, and its like hitting butter! I absolutely Love having my heavy bag hanging from the ceiling and not on a cheap bag stand. Not only is this set up much quieter than a stand, I have full clearance all the way around the bag allowing for better practice for footwork. Did I mention how much cheaper this set up is than a stand too?!!!! I definitely recommend using a heavy bag spring with this hanger to cut down on noise transference and overall wear and tear. I have had no issues with the swivel coming undone, mainly due to the spring taking most of the twisting energy. I have tightened it up a few times just to make sure the bolt connecting the u-part of the swivel to bracket wouldn't come undone during an intense workout, but honestly just checking it before and after a workout is a good idea. This set up is so quiet i h ave it set up in my garage and the only thing you can hear on the other side of the door is the faint thwap of my gloves against the bag.

This has been holding my 100lb mma bag for about 6 months now w/ daily use, and is holding up really strong. I ran a 2x4 across celing joists in the opposite direction then mouted this to that 2x4. While it holds into that well, the only problem is the bolt that the bag mount goes to comes undone occasionally. I use a heavyweight bag anchor which keeps the spinning down, but every couple months i find it still loosens out a bit - no matter how much you torque the bolt/nut down. It's not a big deal to just check it and retighten it once a month or so. I'd probably replace the included nuts with some heavy duty locking nylon ones, maybe one on each side, to remedy the problem - i just dont think it's that big of a hassle to bother right now. All in all it's a great anchor, solid steel, perfect price.

This is a great piece of simple mounting hardware. I have two of them between joists in my basement ceiling hanging a single 100 lb heavy bag. Take a close look at the picture and you'll see that some of the thread on the horizontal bolt is in the mounting area of whatever you use to hang your bag. Ideally the thread should be pushed out a bit to give a smooth bolt interface to your bag hanging equipment. I couldn't find anything of similar size with the threads further out, so I hope the bungee cords I'm using for hanging don't fray on the bolt grooves. No sign of that after three months of daily use. The only problem with this hanger is the nut on the top. That nut can slowly loosen and even come off over a long period of time. Once it loosens it creates a gap between the two black metal surfaces that can then be heard clacking when striking the heavy bag. A trip to the local hardware store for a nut with a plastic locking collar was what I used to make sure I don't get any loosening of the hanger.

For my install I cut a board to span between two of the ceiling joists, screwed it into both joists, and then screwed this in the middle of the board. I saw that a couple other people had done a similar install and it seems like a good idea to avoid putting the entire weight of the heavy bag on one joist. I painted the board white to match the ceiling before I mounted it all and called it good. It's not a slick as cutting out the ceiling and all that, but I wouldn't think you would be that worried about the room being pretty if your hanging a heavy bag in the middle of it. I also paired this with a bag spring and though it makes it even noisier to hit the bag, it seems to help keep impact stress of the ceiling and this mount. The mount and hardware all seem to be well made and everything has held up great so far. Plus it's one of the cheaper and more professional ways out there to hang a bag.

I hung my 80 lb heavy bag from the center beam in my home in the basement on this and it works great. Use a caribiner or a little S hook to get the right swing on the bag. It works great though. I get no crazy wild swing on the bag, it stays in a small arc and no vibration or bounce. Also because I used chains up to an S hook, I get ZERO SPIN. Let me repeat that since everyone's talking about SPIN. I use an "S-HOOK" and four bag chains up to the S-HOOK so I get NO SPIN. None. ZERO. Bag doesn't spin, at all. So if you got spin, then try 4 chains and an S-hook (a climbing caribiner works great too). What I mean by that is each chain goes to the S-Hook. If there's a swivel bolt at the top of your bag chains then bypass it. Just hook one link of each chain to the S-HOOK and you'll get no spin. Also, if the main U bracket is spinning then you're not connecting it right. It has lock washers. Lock em down. Bought two, one for the garage.

Yes, when you hit the bag it does spin (every heavy bag is going to spin unless you use a 4 point hanging system) and it will spin and eventually untighten the bolt at the top no matter how much you tighten it even with the locking washer in place. Period. Solution: Buy a locking nut (it has nylon at the top that locks it in place) and use two nuts (the supplied one and the locking one) plus the locking washer. Details: The supplied nut goes on first but don't thread it all the way down to the bracket. Leave some space for the thing to spin freely. Next, put on the locking washer supplied. Next, put on the locking nut and tighten all 3 together leaving space for the assembly to spin. This will never come loose on it's own if the nuts are tightened properly since the space left means that there is no friction with the bracket. Thanks to those mentioning the issue with the threads on the cross bolt tearing through the hook. I'm going to find another bolt that works or add a sleeve to the supplied bolt. This hanger is fine (sturdy) but only giving it 3 stars since the hardware they supplied is not that well thought out. They should have supplied a metal sleeve for the cross bolt and the additional locking nut.

Great product. Worth the wait. Needed a different set of bolts than what came in the package since I wanted to attach it to the ceiling and not a wood beam. Nothing a reasonably good carpenter couldn't procure for you after a quick trip to the hardware store. Was extremely sceptical when reading the reviews already on here, but it's one of the best purchases I've made online.

Llevo alrededor de 4 años con el soporte y sigue perfecto, he tenido que mover el costal y lo he instalado en 3 lugares diferentes y sigue igual de bueno, volvi para comprar otro para una hamaca colgante y aproveché para crear la reseña. Aguanta el peso del costal + mi peso (80kg) sin problema cuando hago abdominales inversas abrazando el costal con las piernas. Lo recomiendo
