Base Light Inflatable Solar Lantern

Great item - use it in our summerhouse where we don’t have power - easy to charge at home and carry down.

I don't know if I had a faulty product or if just doesn't work as advertised. It is lightweight & the power of the light is really good. It charges fine by USB. If it worked the way it's advertised it would be an amazing light & a must for anyone who goes camping/hiking/night fishing etc! BUT (on my unit) - The power doesn't stay in the unit - one minute it will have 3 dots & you try to turn the light on or plug a phone in & it fails, suddenly going from 3 to 0 dots. The light won't turn on. On this basis I believe my unit was faulty - We haven't been able to get any charge via solar at all. It's been really sunny and my last test I had it out during the day for 5 days in a row. This makes it an expensive USB chargeable lantern. And not suitable for camping as I needed something that will top up charge in the sun. - It is important to note the design isn't exactly as advertised. The image on the box shows a clear plastic over the panel, but this is frosted/white. ETA: The seller have confirmed the image used to advertise this product is a rendering & not a photograph. It does have a thick white plastic over the solar panel. They don't believe this has any bearing on why the unit doesn't charge, though. I can't comment on whether it does or not as my unit wouldn't charge using the solar panel. I would have given it 5* if it had worked as advertised, but my unit is 1* due to not working as advertised/being a faulty unit. If you buy one of these please thoroughly test it out before going hiking/camping with it. The other reviews I've read are great, so it should be fine so long as you get a working unit. I have read up a lot about how these are supposed to work & been in touch with Luci. I believe the best way to get it working (when the unit isn't faulty) is to fully charge then use the sun to top it up each day between uses. I can't comment on the 50 hours as the most we got from ours of full charge is 4 hours of light before the power disappeared & the light went off/wouldn't turn back on. Trying to return via Amazon is more complicated than it should be. It is dispatched by Amazon, but sold by a 3rd party. ETA: The seller refused to refund, but Amazon have now stepped in to organise the refund.

Brilliant (literally). Charge lasts ages, the light is a good strong, but warm light plus it's adjustable for background illumination. Not sure that the inflatability is necessary, but perfect for camping.
