This is the second time I’ve ordered this Agar Bacteria Growth Kit for my child’s school science project, and once again it did not disappoint. These are great if you have a microscope and you’re having your kids learn about these things. These things are good to have so they could do their own little research when they go outside to pick up things or anything around the house that you can use to do research on with the microscope.

I received four boxes (10ea) last week, and they each arrived within a day to my doorstep; excellently packaged. There was a lot of expectation as I had done a lot of buildup with my kiddos. Surely, I didn't want to let them down. I did not, mostly thanks to the fact that these pre-pours absolutely did not! Each box held ten, and they were packed as a single unit in a zip-loc bag, enclosed in bubble wrap. All of my forty, individual units were pristine. I have tasked my kiddos with personal "select four sources to sample, and culture" projects. I did nothing special with the environment: we all selected (and swabbed) four different objects, closed the lids, taped them closed, and waited. It took three days to produce the sample you see, here. Be mindful, as these things get a bit "whiffy" as the cultures develop . . . it's all mart of the Method, and provides a platform for further discussion. On Tuesday, I have a 4K 180X digital camera set-up ready to help my kiddos examine their petris in more detail (as well as a trinocular microscope we can then digitally all examine the particulars of our samples). Highly rated, complete satisfaction, and timely results all-across the board. Purchased twenty more yesterday. Don't hesitate, fellow Science Teachers! :)

I don’t know if I got a defective batch or what but none of mine produced any results. I’ve used plates like this before and followed directions. We live in a warm climate so I left them in our (non-insulated) garage and after a week there was zero results. Totally ruined our science project.

Worked great! Fun experiment at home with my kids to show them why washing hands actually makes a difference. Did they wash their hands more? No. Note, they will start to smell after a few days or a week.

These were so fun for my family and I to do together! Very simple to use with straight forward instructions! I would highly recommend this product!

Plates showed up sterile. Only issue I see is that they are simply only in a ziploc bag and the covers are kinda loose which makes me think that unless I use them on the same day, they might become contaminated once I open that ziploc. Sealing them individualy would be simple and safe but we'll see.

Good for kids development. A bit pricy, in my opinion. Experiment worked.

Terrible product. Full of liquid and contaminated. Petri dishes just in a bag. Do not recommend. Shipping took forever too.
