Review: Easy to understand. - Well written, easy to understand and quite a few nice patterns. Review: Great for all kinds of garments - I bought the previous book these two sisters published couple years back and liked the instruction hit didn’t really like the aesthetics of the clothes. This one is more minimalist, a little more relatable. The patterns are hard to read b/c some are spread out on multiple pages. The instructions are also sometime confusing because you require additional tips/tricks to be able to construct the garment. They’re easy to resolve though, I wouldn’t say it is for the beginner sewer, more like intermediate.

plenty of options and fitting advice
The book itself is very pretty and the collection of clothes look contemporary yet still classic, like scandinavian design has a good reputation for. It looks like you can build a great wardrobe out of the pieces. I chose the book because I have tried a few patterns and am curious about learning how to make better adjustments to pattern for more tailored clothes (usually too big/small on the bust or hip). I've only been sewing since last year (other than for my GCSEs way back) but with the amount of instructions and fitting advice in this book, I'm really looking forward to getting started. There are instructions showing you options for modifying each pattern to your own measurements, which you can then easily transfer to the next garment you make from the 6 blocks/sets (20 garments + mix n match variations). There are also extra tips suggesting simple pattern hacks. The models in the book are a range of sizes, so I can get a bit of an idea about how the clothes might hang on my own body, though the size chart doesn't go further than UK high street sizing, up to hip 124cm, full bust 116cm. On the pattern sheets there are links and a code to download the pdfs to print out rather than trace if that's your jam, either as A4 to print at home, or A0 for printshops (eg Patternsy, Fabulosew etc).

You won’t regret buying this amazing book!
This is the best sewing book I have ever brought! The layout is beautiful - like flicking through a luxury magazine - and the instructions are very clear and easily understood. Each pattern has the final garment’s measurements attached to it so you can decide which size is best for that particular pattern, as I find sizing varies. The clothes are also gorgeous - I am in the age 18-24 category and although I love making clothes, I find that most pattern books have quite boring/more outdated designs which I wouldn’t wear. This book is filled to the brim with fashionable, versatile pieces which are really flattering. Although there are only 10 different styles, each one has about 20 variants and I love how it is so easy to mix and match designs to suit individual styles. I have already made a few of the pieces from this book and have had no end of compliments from people who ask me where I got my outfit! I couldn’t recommend highly enough.
