If you desire a comfortable and versatile drumstick, then get yourself a pair of Hornets. I have been using these for several years now and love them. They look different, but play great. The only improvement could be if they also came with nylon tips.

My favorite sticks after trying all of the major brands. The balance, weight and feel of these sticks is not like anything else. The length and taper make the attack so much more precise. It took me about a week to adjust to the feel but, once I did, nothing else has this bounce. The o-rings on the back are awesome on cymbals, too. Excellent sticks!

I finally got my first pair of Hornets. They are a Christmas present for myself and I am quite happy with the purchase. I ended up getting 5A's because the place that I checked didn't have 5B's in stock(which is my usual stick size). They feel really nice when I play and don't feel as bulky as they look. They even seem to keep my nasty cheap hi-hat from hurting my wrist. The O-rings on the back sound wonderful on cymbals, which is handy with the music that I play. My only complaint is that they seemed to be rubbing new blisters on my index fingers, but I suspect that from a combination of the paint and the thicker sticks. Next time I'm getting 5B's, but I am going to enjoy these and I suspect they will last for quite a while.
