Mudder 60 Count Christmas Light Replacement Bulbs 2.5 Volt, Warm White

Our tree is a 7+ year old 6 1/2 foot, 650 white light tree from Lowes, USA. The good: the warm white color match is perfect for this particular tree. You cannot tell which ones are replacement bulbs. The not so good: the green lamp bases LOOK identical to the originals but they are slightly under-sized and will fall out of the socket. I straightened the two wires of the burned out bulb and removed the glass bulb from the base. I took a new bulb out of its base and carefully straightened the wires and put it in the base that held the burned out bulb, being careful to shape the new bulb wires to the base. It inserted easily and positively into the socket and came on. I replaced three bad bulbs with this base swap in about 15 minutes. There are many different bases for mini lights, but the glass bulbs are the same. If these bases aren't a perfect fit for your lights, it's fairly easy to put one of these new glass bulbs into your old bases and you have a perfect, safe fit. I wish the bases were a perfect fit, but I give them five stars for a quality warm white color match.

If you have lights that are this size then it works great. But I bought wreaths and Christmas lights at Home Depot and I bought these for replacements for the ones that were burnt out and these are too small. Disappointing because I like the price but we had to return.

Before ordering, check the base of your bulbs. I didn't know to do that & these are a different shape base than the ones on my tree so they don't sit quite right in the socket to make a good connection. That was my error for not checking, or realizing I needed to check that. The low rating is for a very dim light. I thought these would be an easy fix for my preliminary tree but the light is so dim it wasn't worth the effort. I wound up spending more money to get LED lights to redo the whole tree for next year.
