These BeeCastle deep brood boxes are excellent quality. Cedar boxes can be hard to find now, and these are sturdy, well-made, heavily wax coated, and good looking once assembled. The frames and beeswax-coated foundation are a nice value, and everything felt solid enough for real hive use. I was very happy with the quality and appearance. Beautiful boxes, practical setup, and exactly what I needed for my bees.

Every component of this box and frames are of outstanding quality. Easy to put together using wood glue and the supplied screws and nails. The box is very well waxed as were the frames inserts. The fit of all the joints were accurate and tight. I am definitely getting future bee supplies from this company.

The box went together well with great dovetail joints as well. I’m very happy with this brood box. I will be ordering more from Bee Castle.

ordered a third deep box for my hive. this BeeCastle box is better built than my others. Frames well made too.

Bee Castle bee hives are great. The first hive I ever owned was a Bee Castle. It comes Disassembled, but installation was very easy and rook only a few minutes. They also come coated with a heavy coat of beeswax to protect the wooden box from the elements. Mine is now 2’years old, and beeswax is wearing off.

I like it because it’s good quality materials. The only problem is- the nails is too short for the frames. so I use my own longer nails . screws for the beehive OK. overall, I like this product a lot.

It's better quality than the other boxes I use to run. Easy to assemble, thick wax coat.

Waxed boards are very nice. Great natural look with no need to paint:) mine fit together so good, I could have gotten away without screwing together. Wonderful fit. At around $70 to Canada was also a good price. Update June 2023 - would not buy waxed boxes again. They only look great when new. After out in the sun the finish wears off. Then you have a box that looks bad and you can't paint because there is wax residue on it. I will only buy boxes I can paint from now on.

Although it came in so many pieces, the assembly was easy and quick.

Nice kit fits together beautifully the only thing I didn't like is the plastic foundation had an unpleasant sent not like bees wax. I used it for a brood box the bee's don't seem to mind. All in all a decent starter box but I wouldn't recommend using it for a honey super.
