A great 70v volume control!
Reliable. Nice detachable phoenix connector makes it easy to wire. Neutral design. Looks good in my room and works very well. Good value.

Not standard decora faceplate size….
Control works as advertised….HOWEVER…..this does not fit a standard decora style faceplate……..you MUST use supplied faceplate ….just slightly larger opening…..multiple units in decora faceplates do not fit and must be opened up to fit

Turn down for what? Simple volume control that works in 70 volt sound system.
Straight- forward instructions, well- built. Functions as advertised. My use was to reduce the volume of 70v ceiling speakers in the restrooms of a restaurant. The speakers were not on their own zone, so the volume to the dining room was also the volume to the small quiet bathrooms. Way too loud, with the speakers set to their lowest tap setting of 7.5v. Putting this controller in the run from the amp to the bathrooms was the answer. Running it at the 6th detent, out of 10. My only request would be to make the position indicator dent on the knob easier to see. It's effectively invisible in a dimly-lit environment.

Multiple issues. Manufacturers screws not long enough.
God awful quality I ordered 16 of these controllers. The screws to hold the face plate onto the controller is too short. The screw on the top of the controller is long enough to push the Phoenix connector out of the control controller. The output polarity was mislabeled on half of the 16 units that I ordered since I had to get my own screws; They worked in all, but 2 of the controllers that I am now unable to install the faceplate since the wholes had no threads or were threaded poorly. Here I am trying to get multiple screws to fit properly.

Good for restaurant setup
Purchased a few items (about $1K worth) for a job at a large chain of stores selling breakfast food, 4 capital letters, you know. Anyway, 2 amps, 20 speakers, 3x of these volume controls, a gooseneck mic, cable. Stainless steel was preferred for restaurant environments. Allowed me to zone control with individual volumes for each zone like dining/private dining/lobby+outdoor. Nice setup, easy $4K job.

Volume levels are odd
so the concept here is great but functionally this thing is garbage. The volume levels of the different points is way off. So first of all it’s not an adjustable volume knob like you would expect, it’s preset volume points that you click through. Common sense says each level should increase equally but you would be wrong. There is only a minor difference between all but the top level. The top level is like 1000% louder than all the other levels. Definitely wouldn’t buy again.

Works
Works great....I've used two now for commercial applications. One for a new install of a 70v system running 12 speakers in a gym. The second was used inline for an older system where the old installed speakers had all but two of the taps removed... just dropped it inline from the amp to control a locker rooms worth of speakers. Not an ideal solution, but its was all they were willing to pay for and it worked.
