Doulex Mini Coffee Cup Mist Humidifier USB powered

Great, cute little humidifier.. only for a few hours! Possibly due to some blown wire because of the water or some other problems, it just completely stopped working shortly after it arrived :(

Ordered the cup with the star, but was mailed the one with the heartbeat pattern. Oh well...still works for what I need.

I wrote a prior review saying I loved this product then it stopped working but I was able to fix it. That is so WRONG! The power cord or connector is definitely a problem and there is no way to fix it. I guess I'll have to return it but I don't think I want another one if it's going to be made as poorly as the original. Ugh.

I bought this ignoring the other reviews, hoping that somehow it would magically work for me. I followed the instructions to the letter, but after a initial tiny puff of steam there was nothing... I really wanted this to work. It's a great idea and cute design, now if I can only find something similar that actually works.

Very cute..small.. perfect for your office... This was initial thought when I purchased the product. But no! I was wrong. It's already broken! I only washed the lid and the unit stopped working. If it was my fault for washing the lid and that's why this is not working, it is a pretty bad product. This is a humidifier!! It should not break just because I washed the lid. Plus, I only washed inside! In addition, the filter was so little and useless, the unit can't create fine water particles so my desk was all wet after couple of hours.

First off, I am a little bummed out that I ordered the one that was dollar more because I thought it was the "star" design. Apparently, you just get whatever they send. It's not that big of a deal. I followed the directions, filled it up and plugged it in and the saddest little stream of mist is wafting out of it. Are you kidding me? I guess you get what you pay for. It's a lesson well learned. I will suck it up and pay for a decent one. Some people in my office have the ones with the water bottle attached and they work much better.

This is a cute handy humidifier for a local area (small cubicle). It puts out a good amount of water, without making things around it moist or dew covered. It does make a small hissing noise when running, but that's expected for this type of humidifier. The cons are only two: The upper system is not as sealed as it should be, allowing water to get into the lid area where the circuit that runs it lives. This is fixable by opening the top and hot-gluing the areas around the ring to make a better seal. Something they should have done. The other thing that kills is the "filter" used. They're hard to find, since they're basically empty ink cartridges used in larger markers. I was able to find them on a craft supply site, but you then have to get the right diameter and cut them to the proper length. You only need to replace them every couple months (less if you use filtered water to start with).

I bought this as my ENT told me that I should have a humidifier/air purifyer around as much as I can. I got this for my office and thought it would especially be useful in my cube (we were just coming back to our office after being relocated after Hurricane Sandy). It works fine, however, there were only instructions on how to set it up. I plugged it in and it got warm on top, but didn't produce any "mist". It says - do not fill all the way to the top, so I didn't. Until one day, frustrated that it never worked, I filled it all the way to the top and it began working. I also found that I had to tilt it to have it begin to produce the mist. So, all in all, for the price, the compactness and it being not obvious that I have a water device plugged into my work computer - it's worth it.
