Krylon Chalk Board Paint Rocks!
This Chalk board paint is stellar! It is really thick. I bought to to paint over a white board on the inside of a hutch I was refurbishing. I used a 4" foam brush. I guess I laid it on a little bit too thick on the because it started to drip on the top as the second coat was drying. I literally thought I'd have to remove it and start over but I didn't end up having to do that. I just redipped the foam brush and went over it. It looked like it was going to be streaky and drippy. I walked away frustrated but when I went back about an hour later it had evened out. It was a perfectly flat smooth surface! Success! After you let it dry ( I let it cure for 2 days) make sure and prime the chalk board with the side of a piece of chalk. It worked really well. I wasn't sure how it would adhere to a smooth slick surface however it worked out just fine. I can't believe what appeared to be such a mottled paint job turned out so smooth so let it dry before you start messing with it like I did You can't even tell that the hutch didn't come this way. I'm looking for other things to turn into a chalk board because I am so pleased with this product and how it performed. I definitely recommend it! User error aside, it still worked out fabulously! These foam brushes from Amazon are a really good value and work well with this paint .I am really enjoying this website. I spend a little bit too much time on here searching for the best values and best reviews so I hope this saves you a little bit of time. The only paint I've found that adheres well to silicone rubber
The only paint I've found that adheres well to silicone rubber (my cell phone shock-absorbing case). Can be used as a primer and then top-coat for a different color/formula spray paint.

Quality chalk paint!
I've used a multitude of chalk-paint brands and this one is one of the best. Application was smooth and easy. The paint covers extremely well and goes a long way. Two coats covered the white wall with no spotting. Nice finish with a smooth surface.

THE BEST CHALK PAINT
This is the best chalk paint for the price and quality. I purchased these Amazon paint brushes with them and they were amazing: Pro-Grade Home Wall/Trim House Paint Brush Set Great for Professional Painter and Home Owners Painting Brushes for Cabinet Decks Fences Interior Exterior & Commercial Paintbrush I used this chalk paint on a wedding item, so you BETTER believe I wanted the best quality chalk paint. It was an added bonus that it was cheaper compared to other chalk paints. The paint went on easy, and started to dry within minutes. I didn't even have to put on a second coat. The paint was not runny or too thick, it was just right. It went on smooth and it dried even, which was a major plus for me. I will use this chalk paint again for other projects. I just wanted to write this review to help other people out in deciding what chalk paint to use. I hope this helps!

Works great, don't be stingy with it
I bought this to convert a whiteboard my employer was throwing away into a chalkboard for our toddler. After sanding, cleaning, and priming the surface (and masking the frame with tape) I put two coats on with a nice synthetic 2" brush. The first coat I tried to be a little more conservative with the paint and ended up leaving brush marks across the whole thing. The second coat I was a little more generous with and it came out much better but still had brush marks. I bought the nicest 4" foam roller I could find, a nap roller intended to provide a mirror finish to whatever paint it was used for. That worked great. I thinned the paint just slightly with a little bit of water (as per the directions) and applied it with the roller. It turned out beautiful. I highly recommend using a roller over a brush. You've just spent more than $20 on paint, a couple bucks for a nice quality nap roller is worth the money to make sure you get a nice smooth finish. We still have quite a bit left, so we are planning some other projects around the house with it I'm very glad we bought this over the spray can version. I've been disappointed with spray can stuff in past- this applies much nicer and provides a much nicer finished product.
