I am going to purchase this item... but need to know what is in it, so we can factor out allergies, etc.,

Allspice is the dried unripe berry of a tropical tree called "Pimenta dioica" grown in many warm parts of the world. It got the name "allspice" in 1621 from early English naturalists and explorers, who discovered that is tastes like cinnamon, nutmeg (mace), and clove, combined. Allspice is a natural spice. Allspice is not a mix. Someone allergic to cinnamon, cloves, mace or nutmeg may not be allergic to Allspice. Remember, Allspice is not a mix, it is a crushed, dried berry from a tropical tree.
