Purchase this from my mom who has Alzheimer’s and her hands have been shaking and getting worse. She was getting upset because she couldn’t write her name in script with this purchase. She is able to do so not 100% but so much better. Great gift for anyone elderly in your life.

I've had ET for 20+ years and it's progressive - so much worse the past 6 years! I used to have great handwriting, now there are times when it's illegible, even to me - it's bad in both hands (right handed). I've bought other gizmos in the past to help reduce my ET while writing and none have been useful at all, until this one. Of course I was skeptical because my tremor is so bad but this short & fat weighted pen really, really works for me. I still have to hold my right hand down w/my left, and write slow and intentional, but it's perfectly legible every time I use it. I use a computer keyboard as often as possible but for those times I have to actually write (greeting cards, the occasional check, etc.) this pen is a HUGE help. I only wish they made it in a pencil format also (I do lots of numbers and also try to draw). Highly recommend - and so affordable!

I like that it helps with the hand. tremors. I discovered that the pen,s top button is easily pushed and if wearing the Landyard around neck the pen marks clothing and can't get the stain out. The ink is like a Sharpie. I tried rubbing alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, Colgate toothpaste with Baking soda & Peroxide gently rubbing with a toothbrush in circular motion and put Tide with Oxy. My mistake is I didn't see the black marks until one week later when doing laundry. Since then I've Googled and looked on Wiki for ways to get black Sharpie out of clothes. Two things I didn't try is hairspray. and Acetone Nail Polish Remover. I'm trying it now and letting it sit a while before washing. Don't make the same mistake I made before trying to remove the black marks. Start treating it right away. One site said put paper towel under the reverse side to catch the black bleeding thru. Wish I had known this before. Otherwise, the weighted pen helps the tremors except when I consume caffeine, even chocolate. Trying to stay free of all caffeine items.

Easy grip, comfortable to hold, quality of ink is good, bought for a parkinson's patient who will not use it regularly, don't ask me why. It's heavy on purpose, though the strap is in the way. As the disease progresses I hope this pen will be more useful.

Update: As I kept writing the pen’s ink flow started to falter and was applied on the paper intermittently. I’ll try using the other refills that came with it but I have a feeling that they’re going to be the same. ———————————————————————— Unexpected. I started using it today and I was actually able to write without having to hold my right hand with my other hand to control the shaking which is a feat in itself. Of course I doubt I’ll be able to do that for long but it is still incredible. I’m not making this up lol. I haven’t been able to write without holding my hand with the other for at least a decade. Maybe I’ll put a video showing the difference between this fat pen and writing with a normal one. Aside from the ergonomics, the ink has a good flow and it is a fine point which is what I prefer. I just wish the seller would have mentioned it. The pen came with additional refills which look different. I don’t know if they’re different colors as well.

I have bought two of these pens, I know, shame on me. It will work for about 3 weeks or so before the clicking mechanism stops working and the pen point is up, so you cannot write. I really thought maybe it was something I did for the first one. But I bought it again and the same thing happened.

I ordered these short fat pens for my 82 year old mom who’s been struggling with tremors the last few years. She used to write songs & poems all the time, in fact, she’s written over 300 gospel songs! The tremors took that away. They had gotten so bad that she could no longer fill out the withdrawal slips at the bank & you couldn’t make out her signature. She tried this pen when they came in a week or so ago, put that lanyard around her neck & has never taken it off!!! She said it’s super comfortable to hold, it’s cute as a button, writing is easy again, the ink comes out smooth & we can actually read her handwriting now!!! She’s back to making grocery lists & even the ladies at her bank are impressed. I'm about to order her another set just to have for backup! What a great deal for a little independence! 🙌🏼

These are perfect for my hands. I have shakes in my hands. And this heavier utensils are outstanding.

Just a generic thick pen, no weights were included. Definitely weighed a lot less than 100 grams.

This is an excellent weighted pen. I use it because I had chronically bad handwriting. This really helps. I have previously bought the mischief cheaper pens that look identical and they were no different than using a normal pen so be warned.
