I've had this for quite some time now. I only bought it for the sequencer which works perfect. Unfortunately, (and this is no negative remark on the product) it does not work as expected with my smart plug. I wanted it part of my Alexa routine when I say "turn on Studio" it powers on , which it does but it pops my speakers, because the power switch on the unit MUST BE manually turned off in order for the sequence to occur properly. Therefore, I can only turn the unit on off manually. I haven't paid attention to other features of the unit. Also, although the outlets look odd shapes, they do work to plug in North America devices.

The Pyle power sequencer and conditioner is a product that is designed to help the user to maintain their sound system by providing power to each item in a specific sequence removing the pops and other noise that can be heard from any sound system that has amps and speakers. Because it works in such situations and is determined by the user on how they use the sequencer what comes on first and what comes on last. However it is not a filter but a conditioner two different items. Filters really are just a waste of money because they don’t really work and they are not good for most AVRs or Stereos because it has a way of filtering the sound and not doing anything for the noise. A good filter is very expensive 10k and up so as long as you don’t expect the sequencer to filter out noise you will have a great product that will serve you well. Don’t forget that you are the determining factor.

Good product. Pyle warranty registration system broken/out of date. Wouldn't accept Product # PC0875 even though it is clearly on the item and on the manufacturers shipping box. I had to register as "unknown" for the product. Go figure...

The unit works as described, although the outlets in back are the generic worldwide style, not the typical USA/Canada receptacle that is in our homes. This generic outlet does work, but it is more difficult to plug a cord in since there are several holes which the plug can enter but are not functional for 120Vac USA/Canada power. I deleted a quality star rating for this. The sequencer timing is fixed, about a second per outlet, unlike the previous three units I purchased, which apparently are now discontinued. This is definitely not enough time for most audio gear. Granted, the description states this, but it definitely makes the unit far less useful. Lastly, they need to get their math right. 120VAC gives you a maximum of 15A, yielding 1800VA (or Watts) the unit cannot yield 6000 VA or Watts as they claim in the datasheet. You can double these numbers if you're buying a 240 VAC unit, but 6000 VA or Watts is pure fiction. The unit is built fairly well, so I doubt it is a fire hazard, but the unit is not UL/CSA approved, so you don't have their seal of approval, leaving the fire issue a question. I deleted a quality star rating for this as well.

Works very well for vintage rack mounted radios. Had to modify the mounting holes because they're not quite right for rack mounting. Pyle needs to fix this. Other than that it's a great unit.

I’ve owned this sequencer for 3 years now and it does exactly what it should. It turns my components on one at a time to avoid a surge and minimizes the potential for damaging loud pops. I watched and read a ton of reviews before purchasing, so I knew exactly what I was buying. If you do the same and you have the same goal, you won’t be disappointed. If you want a real power conditioner you better be ready to shell out some real bucks.

Unlike most reviewers, I actually opened this thing up. Let me get one thing out of the way: There is NO surge suppression, spike protection, power conditioning, or ANYTHING between the input and output that would effect the quality of the power. The input power cable connects to bus bars that go directly to the plugs (neutral) and via relays (live). That's literally it. There is also no overcurrent protection. Not a fuse, not a circuit breaker. Nada. Right away it struck me as strange that the supply cord for this unit is 10awg, but it has a NEMA 5-15P plug. So it would seem at the surface that they spec'd this for high current, as a 10awg cable would be rated for 30A. Though the plug is simply rated for 15A (or 20A as most branch circuits nowadays are rated for that.) What's extremely strange is that despite the manufacturer going the extra mile with the heavy duty input power cable, the front panel receptacles are connected by 18awg wire to the rear bus bars ("bars" is a bit of an exaggeration -- they're thick traces on a circuit board). Though 18awg is suitable for chassis wiring up to 16A, it's still a bit of a hazard if this were connected to a common 20A branch circuit. The specs are also confusing. As this listing is intended for sale in the North American market (due to the NEMA plug), it would operate at 120V. However the description confusingly says both "13A" and "2000W". 13A at 120V is 1560W. 2000W at 120V would be just under 17A. It can't be both. (OK, technically it can if you're running loads with an awful power factor and the VA measurement disagrees with the W measurement. However, since this thing is just straight wiring from plug to receptacle, ampacity is really the only important factor.) The USB port is a joke. It was outputting a solid and respectable 4.98V under no load. However, at just 100mA the Voltage sagged to ~4.7V. At 200mA it went down to ~4.5V. It was fairly linear, and at 700mA the entire unit shut down. So the USB port would be suitable to charge VERY low current devices (e.g. not a cell phone or tablet), and could maybe light a small USB gooseneck LED fixture. Maybe. (To be fair, in the fine print it does describe it as a 200mA port, but 4.5V is still a bit low at that current.) As for the good? Well, it does what it says. It sequences the rear receptacles on one at a time with a satisfying click of a relay each. The chassis is made of heavier steel than I would have expected. The chassis is also bonded to ground, and all the receptacles are properly grounded as well. The voltage display on the front was accurate. But this gets one star for the horrible misrepresentation as a power conditioner with surge/spike protection. Again, it has NONE. The manufacturer's own site makes those same representations, so it's not like the Amazon listing is in error. If you were to scroll down, the product description also says "Relay: 30A, 277V AC". The relays in mine were rated 240V 30A according to the printing on them. It also confusingly says "Max power: 2000 Watt outlet (6000 watt unit)". I'm not even sure what that means. If the product description were honest or made any sense at all, I'd probably give this 4 stars. It would still lose one for the awful USB port and some of the borderline soldering internally.

Decided to change my rating after taking a closer look - I should've checked reviews on youtube and read one of the reviews. It is NOT A POWER CONDITIONER and the product description is a misrepresentation as there are no fuses to protect from surges. The power on sequence seems to be working for me but that's about it. Its a high end power strip with lights as some say.

It's a nice piece! Does exactly what it should, with no fussing about. I'm a fairly analogue-type guy, but this unit fires up everything in sequence - which keeps the inrush currents low. Just a quick series of clicks while it does it's thing, and the voltage RMS display is nice too! Reciever-Amp-Amp-Amp-Amp-Sub-Blueteeth-CD player. Simple!
