Super Duper
I usually don't leave reviews for products. Almost never. Actually this might be my first. This should tell you something - to ignore my spelling mistakes and other signs of general illiteracy. But this teapot is fantastic. Some demographic info: I'm a 21 year old man, freshly adult, and recently turned tea snob. So naturally I need a teapot to accompany, nay supplement my loose leaf, nose upturned, calling-tea-color-liqueur lifestyle. Previously I had been brewing my tea in a thermos with a little mesh insert, a practice that if employed by anyone else I would surely mock brazenly. First impressions - I had read almost all of the reviews and some of them had mentioned that this teapot is rather small. When I opened it, I thought to myself "this teapot is rather small". But once I stilled my beating heart and actually made some tea I realized that it's pretty much the perfect size. Filling it close to the top, with a comfortable margin, I get enough tea for two very full mugs, and in my frugally heated apartment the pot keeps the tea piping hot for the second mugful. The basket is nice and large. I've heard others say that this is necessary for the leaves to swim, luxuriate, mingle, copulate, bask in their collective consciousness. Shoot me if I ever anthropomorphise tea leaves like that. But it is nice to have a big basket so that the water actual reaches the center leaves. To that end, it would've been nice if they included a diving board so that the leaves could indulge their inner child (or bud, if you will), but now I'm splitting hairs. It's made of glass, so it's breakable. I haven't broken mine yet, but I reserve the right to in the future, hopefully during the height of an argument. I think it'll shatter very well, but that's just speculation at this point. Only complaint (very minor) is that the handle is kind of hard to grip when the pot is full of hot tea. My hand has a tendency to slip down and touch the hot pot. But I just changed the way I held it, and that's been working well. I'm actually glad, I was getting a little set in my ways. Bottom line - buy it. It's not a samovar, but for one or two people (I can dream, can't I?) it's perfect. Very aesthetically pleasing, functional, the mesh is plenty fine, even rooibos can't sneak through, and I've had almost no stems get stuck. It's top rated for a reason.

This little tea pot is amazing❣️Makes just enough tea for me to drink on a daily basis. Very easy to clean. No directions needed to use. Holds heat accordingly. Loose tea and bagged tea can be used. Perfect size for one to two people. Very durable and easy to handle. No flimsy pieces, the handle is sturdy. Great gift idea for a fellow tea connoisseur. Very pleased with my purchase‼️

10/10, One of the best things I've ever bought on Amazon
I got the 16oz. size (450ml.), and I could not be happier with it! It allows you to fill with hot water all the way to the top of the mesh screen, and then the glass lid has room to rest on the lip of the mesh screen, without touching the water (so the floating tea leaves won't cling to the lid). It brews a delicious cup of tea, which I think is due to the "squat" shape of the kettle. I have another 16oz. tea kettle in the same "squat" shape, and it brews the best green tea that I've ever had. Many Japanese cast iron kettles are in the same squat shape, so I really do think there's something to the squat shape which makes a better cup of tea. I got this because I'm trying a bunch of teas to figure out which I like best, and though I've mostly been using bagged teas, I knew I would have to check out the looseleaf teas, especially since they're generally better quality than the bagged teas. I have made looseleaf teas in barrel brewers at this point, but, I don't like them that much because the tea is compacted inside and is then hard to clean out so the used tea leaves can be composted instead of rinsed down the sink or tapped into the trash. This Maru tea kettle allows me to let the used tea leaves dry a little bit in the mesh filter, at which point they're easier to tap out. This danged tea kettle is so tiny, but brews a full 16oz. of tea, and I love that!!! That means it's easier to store, which is important to me, since I would like to get another for guests, and I believe I can just turn the lid upside down, and then stack a second kettle on top (hopefully). I also want to get the larger size, too!!! And I want to buy the smaller and larger size to use as a duo gift, so the recipient has two wonderful options of how much tea to brew. You cannot go wrong with these wonderful tea kettles!!! My only complaint is that they're a bit expensive. I highly recommend them, though, I'm sure anyone using these kettles would love them!!!

Great teapot for daily use!
Perfect teapot for my oolong tea every morning. I fill with water all the way to the top of the basket and it makes about 24oz, which is enough for a generous cup of tea for myself and my husband. I love that it's clear so that I can verify my tea is ready based on the color. It's easy to remove tea leaves from the basket and easy to clean the basket, lid and pot also. As other reviewers have mentioned, the glass is thin, so I'm careful not to bump it against the sink or anything when I'm cleaning it, but after about a month of use, it's held up to daily use without any issues.

Nice looking and somewhat easy to clean
Bought on a recommendation from Wirecutter. It's a good size (2 to 3 servings depending on your mug size). It looks nice. It is more or less easy to clean (put in the dishwasher). On the downside: - It doesn't hold temperature well (obviously, since it is made of glass, but I saw another review stating that it held temperature well, which it absolutely does not). - If you fill it too high, the tea wicks over the pouring spout and you'll end up with a puddle of tea under your pot. I keep mine on a dish towel just in case. - Tea leaves easily get stuck between the mesh and the rim of the strainer. Cleaning these out can be a chore. - If you don't hold the lid down while pouring, some tea leaves can escape. - The lid will fall if when you pour out the last bit, however simply keeping your thumb over the lid while holding the handle is enough to prevent this.

WOW
What a great elegant looking tea pot with great flexibility and functionality. THE GLASS POT - is thin and lets the color really shine thru. Because of its thin nature, care is required when handling. Primarily when placing the top on without the infuser in it. But you weren't really going to use this in a boxing ring. If you ever used a thin glass tea cup, you know how beautiful the color can be from the tea. This is what adds to the elegance of this tea pot. This pot is about 24 oz. I get 3 glasses of ice tea out of it at about 8 oz a glass not including ice. I use the Keurig to put the hot water in so I don't know about heating the pot from a heat source. THE INFUSER - is well made with a functionality I didn't expect. Its wide mouth/shallow design has advantages over a tall narrow infuser. The tea leaves in a tall narrow infuser tend to crowd each other not allowing water to get fully around all the tea leaves. the leaves stack upon themselves and the leaves that need to expand topple each other. This infuser is very different. Think of it as a giant swimming pool for your tea leaves. Water gets all around the leaves with no crowding whatsoever. Great for pearl teas. The one problem I had was with lipton tea. Lipton black tea in bulk has almost a powder consistency. This very fine powder does get thru the infuser. However I also tested Rooibos, Eucalyptus, Hibiscus, Peppermint & Chamomile and had no problem with sediment at the bottom. BEST PROCEDURE - I found was to put the hot water in, place the infuser in, and then dump the tea in and very very slightly stir and let the water to the rest. This gives the Rooibos time to expand before it sinks and makes it difficult to get thru infuser mesh. Also regarding the lipton tea mentioned above, I found a neat little feature that makes this tea pot very versatile. I like lipton black tea for the base in my ice teas. Because of the powder characteristics of lipton tea I now use their tea bags rather than their bulk version. The beauty of this pot is that the round shape of this pot leaves a gap between the the infuser and the glass. It is a perfect fit for a tea bag running the string thru the pouring spout gap. What this means is I can put hibiscus & rooibos in the infuser, and place a lipton tea bag outside the infuser as mentioned above all steeping at the same time and not interfering with each other. If this isn't flexibility in what you want to do with your tea, I don't know what is. CLEANING - is a breeze. Even with Peppermint or Eucalyptus that can get pasty and want to stick to the sides. Just flip the infuser over and knock it on your other hand and most everything comes out. Let it dry for about 30 minutes and the remaining amount easily falls out. I really don't bother rinsing, its that clean. Bottom line is, this is a really great tea pot.

Perfect for one or maybe two
I use this tea pot daily because I love green tea. I've had one of the same for years but over time the tea stained the glass and the "stainless" steel so I recently bought this replacement. It's easy to use, has been durable, perfect size for 2-3 cups of tea, and can be used with even the finer forms of tea without having excessive bits passing through the strainer.

Perfect functional teapot for Asian teas
Most of the reviews are missing the cultural context here. The teapot is "small" because traditional tea brewing in Japan or China uses 4-6 oz cups - tiny by American standards - but brews multiple infusions from good-quality tea. (True tea ceremony servings, especially in China, would be even smaller.) The largest size (700 ml) would generously serve 4-5 cups of tea in that setting, while it might only make 2 moderate mugs in the US. The medium size (450 ml) is a 2-3 serving pot and the small (300 ml) is 1-2 servings. It's fine, of course, to use your equipment however you like. But understand why the size is what it is. If you're expecting to brew your tea once, pour a couple big mugs, and still have more left over for refills, this pot is not going to fit your needs in any size - it won't be big enough and will cool off too quickly. Functionally, this is a great little teapot. One of the key features is that the infuser basket is very roomy relative to the pot - this is important for green teas that expand significantly when brewed and like lots of space to let water circulate. And being glass is great - it's very easy to clean and you don't have to worry about soaking up oils or odors. If you're being careful about your brewing temperature, be mindful that the thin glass pot won't absorb as much heat as a ceramic vessel would. So you may need to adjust your kettle temperatures or cooling times if temperature is critical, as with Senchas and other green teas. Overall, this a terrific, inexpensive teapot for Asian-style tea brewing. Nothing wrong with using it for American-style tea if that's your thing, but there are probably better choices out there with more capacity and heat retention.

Parfait

The Perfect Glass Pot
I’m a gong fu style type of tea drinker. But I wanted something larger than my clay pots that I could just keep at my desk while I work because getting up to brew gong fu style is annoying when I’m in the zone. I also like drinking low end teas like hojicha or earl grey sometimes, and I love trying out new types of tea (which I can’t do with clay). I thought of porcelain but while they’re a classic I find them boring. I decided to try this pot and I’m glad I did. The glass is beautiful and I love the simple design—it’s looks much better in person than the photos. It’s lightweight but not in a way that feels cheap. The strainer is wide so the leaves have breathing room. I love the visual aspect of seeing the colour of the tea which is kind of relaxing. It pours like a dream—no spills. The handle doesn’t get hot at all. The body does get hot but not scalding. I put 95°c water in there and I could touch it for a few seconds without pain-so no issue if you accidentally touch it. And it’s a great neutral material for trying out different teas since it doesn’t affect the taste of the leaves (unlike clay). If you’re a tea connoisseur you probably won’t be looking at glass teapots, and on Amazon. Don't expect to brew pu’erhs in this. And I have a dedicated tokoname clay pot for my Gyokuro. But you can definitely brew other high quality teas like Darjeeling or silver needle or high mountain wulongs. And literally any lower end teas or flowering teas or herbal teas will work in this pot and give you a really nice aesthetic experience.
