Amazon Basics Double Sided Permanent Tape with Dispenser, Narrow Width, 1/2 x 252 inches, Translucent, 3-Pack

Bought to keep my young ferrel cat from scratching furniture and this works a treat. Much better than the expensive sprays. No damage to upholstery that I can see and no odor or repeat sprays. Cat was so surprised at the unpleasant stickiness. The only drawback is sitting in the chair can get a little sticky, but once the cat knows not to scratch there, I think the tape can be removed. I will wait a while longer to remove.. but if the scratching starts again, just apply more tape, just here and there is enough. I used only 1 of 3 rolls for 3 vulnerable upholstered chairs. Less than $3 for tape or $300+ to reupholster each chair. There is nothing to dislike other than that the tear off on dispenser is slightly less sharp than I would like.

I wasn’t expecting much from this tape because it’s cheap and from the Amazon Basics line, but it actually works really well. The dispenser feels lightweight, but the tape itself is strong. Once you stick something down, it stays put. I used it for small craft projects and to mount photos in a scrapbook, and it held everything without peeling or lifting. It’s also easy to pull out and cut, which is something a lot of double‑sided tapes struggle with. The dispenser doesn’t jam, and the tape doesn’t bunch up or twist. The roll is on the smaller side, so it’s not something you’d use for big projects like hanging posters or heavy decorations. But for everyday stuff like crafts, school projects, gift wrapping, labeling - it’s perfect!

The stick is not super strong but that can be good for removal. I didn’t realize at first you have to pull out a ways before you get to two sided glue.

We use this in my classroom to hold up posters, and things of that nature! It was so good that the front office came by to steal a few pieces to do the same. It’s very sturdy. My students can’t pull the posters off the wall. It’s also used to hold down my rug under my chair, and it doesn’t leave residue when you take it up.. now the question is what I use this tape to hold down my rug in my house no for my classroom yes… only because during heavy traffic it will un loosen and you have to reapply

Useless. Doesn't stick at all. I get this kind of tape to wrap the top of the hanging chain for my hummingbird feeders so the ants wouldn't get to them. Not only I had issues trying to get the tape to stick on the chain (or even on itself) but the and walk happily all over it. I've never ever had this happen with other brands.

This tape was disappointing. It arrived in a box of three dispensers, but one of the dispensers was smashed. After removing the very long protective portion at the start (It seemed longer than usual, I wonder if that length is included in the 252 inches!), I found that the actual tape itself was very hard to cut off using the dispenser cutter edge, so I ended up touching the sticky surface a lot in my efforts to wrench it off. It is also substantially thicker than "name brand" double-faced tape. I guess that might be useful for some people, but I was hoping for a direct replacement for Scotch. I used it in a situation where I won't be able to tell, long-term, how it holds, but I'll update this review if I find there is an issue in the future in another situation. I likely won't be purchasing this exact product again. Next time I'll probably just spend the money on Scotch. :(

Well.its not really permanent. I mean if it was I wouldn't be typing right now because I put some.on my hands and it did finally come.off with some Goo Gone and gasoline.

Great tape, nice and clear. As good as Scotch brand

I purchased these for my product packaging of car coasters. I needed a way to stick it to my cardstock labels and these worked wonders. I'm glad I bought the 3 pack and I'll be sure to purchase more! I won't switch products after this.

It's really thin and it will stick. I used it to stick a stiff plastic sheet on my refrigerator's glass shelves.
