Great and easy upgrade to iPod 5th Gen 5.5 Video (Classic)
This will greatly increase your storage, speed, and reliability of your iPod 5th Gen 5.5 Video (Classic). Note: You need to also purchase a single SD card (or micro with a SD adapter). Also make sure you you check the compatibility chart at the Iflash website, as some cheaper SD cards don't work. I used a PNY 512GB Elite-X Class 10 U3 V30 SDXC Flash Memory Card and it worked great. The upgrade is very easy, just watch some youtube videos a used a guitar pick. Make sure to pay most attention to how to release each ribbon cable as that is the hardest part of the process. I also got a new front face as mine was all scratched, a new battery (old battery expanded and broke my screen), a new screen, while I had it disassembled. With this upgrade you can fit a much larger battery as there is no longer a bulky disk drive. When you are complete and power it up you will have to connect to Itunes and do a factor reset to reload iTunes, so you will lose everything that's on the iPod so ensure there is nothing you need on the iPod before you begin. Once the Itunes updated you will now have tons of storage to reload as much music as you want. I upgraded from 60GB to 512GB!

Give it a try!
Works great, had so much fun with this project. The installation was easy especially for someone who’s never done anything like this before. For reference I used a lexar sd that I also purchased off of Amazon. Music sounds great and doesn’t skip, super happy about the storage space. I would recommend :)

One of the best options to mod your IPod classic
I purchased this to update/ mod my iPod classic 5gen and it worked perfectly! I put about 80gb of music on a 128GB sd card and so far no issues! Note: if you purchase a boxy pixel min body style, this mod is not thin enough for it! Make sure to buy the MAX body style to fit everything in to the body. ( picture shows boxy pixel min body )

The best contraption made for obsolete music players
This is the best thing ever invented when it comes to obsolete technology. It replaces the bulky-chungus hard disk drives (which was amazing long ago being small with such capacity, but all was moved onto SSDs and NVMe) with only an SD Card. It's easy to replace the drive with this, but you may need a way to format the card to Fat32 to make it work. After formatting, reatore the drive lile what you do on a normal iPod and there you have it. I tried it with a 1TB Samsung Pro Evo card and it works fantastic. I experimented this to an iPod Classic 5.5th gen I bought off of eBay because of DankPods and I was blown away. Now, I've turned my smartphone into more of a paperweight.

Just what I needed!
Awesome mod!! But buyer beware, if you are buying this for the 160gb model of the iPod 6th gen like in my case you’ll also need to buy a new flex cable as the 160gb model uses a different hard drive with a much smaller flex cable so you’ll need the other one the other models use, leaving that behind this is awesome!

Works great in an ipod classic 4th generation (using the adapter cable) with two caveats
Works great in an ipod classic 4th generation (using the adapter cable) with two caveats: Don't use any Sandisk brand SD cards, every one I tried gave me problems or straight up wouldn't work. Also the iflash solo does not hold onto the SD card well even when it's clicked in. the first time I did it, the SD card popped out after a couple weeks of normal handling. I applied some double sided tape between the card and the metal housing when I clicked it back in, hopefully it will hold this time. I also installed four ckauto 0.25oz stick on tire weights (B085LCFFZS) into the back of the metal housing to give the ipod its heft back.

Revived my iPod Classic!
I got an iPod Classic from my cousin who got it for free from his work. After a few short days of listening to my own music on it, the hard drive crashed and the entire iPod was completely inoperable because of it. That's when I decided I'd not only fix my iPod, but also upgrade it by expanding its storage from the original 80GB to 128GB. The process wasn't easy at first; Apple made sure their iPods were sealed tight, so I had some trouble opening mine at first. Once I did though, replacing the hard drive was as simple as removing it and plugging this in its place. I inserted a compatible SD card, formatted the iPod through iTunes, and it's good as new now! I've been using this in my daily driver iPod for months now and it still works perfectly. It's a lot lighter which is nice. The battery does indeed last longer since it doesn't use nearly as much power to access the SD card as it does to spin up the hard drive. Very happy with this replacement and I'll definitely be purchasing another one when my other iPod Classic hard drive fails too.

The best replacement for an Ipod SSD
Worked perfectly, everything went smooth. Pros: Easy to install - simply remove the connectors for the old zif ribbon and SSD and insert this in the same spot (don't forget to lift and close the locking mechanism) Compatible with any SD card Delivered quickly and in safe packaging Cons: None.

Necesario para tu iPod
Funcional hasta la fecha, mi ipod lo he tratado un poco mal pero la tarjeta y la SD siguen intactas, muy facil de instalar, recomiendo leer en el sitio que necesita tu SD para que funcione al 100.

Great product but...
Sadly the product came in a plastic envelope, no extra protection considering that it is a piece of hardware that easily can be damaged.
