TALOYA Smart Ceiling Light,Main Light and RGB Night Light Dimmable,12 Inch

I had a similar, larger light in my music room that suddenly simply didn't want to work with the app anymore. I could delete it, re-add it to smartlife, and control it once or twice then it would be offline again. So time to replace it. This one had a decent price, and more importantly, didn't require some annoying little third party app that would only be used for this one item. I've got nearly 150 devices on my home network, and only get things that are compatible with Smartlife, Kasa, or VeSync. What made me even happier was that this one used the same mounting base the other one did, so I simply unscrewed that old one, disconnected the wires, connected them to this, and screwed it in. About 60 seconds of work. Smartlife saw it instantly, got it connected and renamed, and once again I have a reliable smart device I can voice control regularly. Gives enough light for the area, and I like the color bar on the top for when I just want indirect mood lighting.

THESE ARE TOTALLY FABULOUS!!! I bought five of them: one for each front and back porch abd front porch, three for my great room (living room/kitchen combo). First of all 100% brightness looks like an operating room, and 10% is enough to see fine, although I would pick somewhere in the middle. The 4-watt color backing looks GREAT. They can be set to any color. On Autism awareness day, I put them to all blue, for instant, but all five could be a different color. Here's a tip: Go to the effect, "Dazzling" on the scene panel (the other two selections are white and color) part, hit edit. Add all the available colors by hitting the plus button and choose up to all 8 available, there's a further slide bar that controls speed on the bottom. Slide all the way to the right. IT IS THE MOST AMAZING LIGHT SHOW THAT 'DAZZLES' EVERY VISITOR I HAVE!! Play with the settings and find one you love. I wouldn't have figured it out, but the neighbor came over and he is an artist and he came up with it. I am going to look for other combos, and I'm sure there's so many I haven't even thought of with my current fave "Go-To" look. I have two other units in the bedroom that are LED that I bought at Lowe's, but there are no where as cool as these, and I regret not getting these for there. However, I started with those rooms as both my EL CHEAPO construction bargain basement LED fixtures burned out. So 2 of 7 were burned out, and I had to replace them quickly. But even though not as cool as these, and that the ones from Lowe's in the bedroom are motion sensitive and can be annoying, I figured one of the remaining five were going to burn out any day, so I should get similar, dimming LED lights for the other rooms. But if not for the initial purchase, I would not have realized how cool LED dimming lights were in your home. I saw these as Amazon's Choice, and I have NEVER gone wrong with Amazon's Choice. When these went in, they were vastly superior to the initial LED's for the bedrooms. I simply didn't want the option of motion sensing in other rooms, so I got these and they are beyond expectations. My light bill PLUMMETED from $120 to $49, which is at 59.17 PERCENT CHANGE (I am a math teacher). I could go on and on, but take my word for it, they are great. As if I had any complaint, one of the five, a small strip of red along the circle doesn't work, and it is blank when the color is red, and absent during the 'dazzling' display. But instead of going through the rigamarole of taking it down and shipping it back, I figured I was so elated with the overall purchase, and it was so minor, I am just living with it. Even the most perfect-seeming thing can have one flaw! So, I am 99.9999999999 % satisfied! I highly, highly, highly recommend theses. I control them with an Android and an iPhone, and I just bought the newest Alexa Show, two of them actually, to control my Ring doorbell and the new outdoor and indoor Blink security cameras I just ordered. Those, and the new Firestick I bought control the lights by voice. I bet my old Firestick does too, I just never tried that. I don't know if I can leave a follow-up message, but if so, I promise to tell Amazon-land how that worked out for me. So I say do not dealy. Add these to your cart today. I buy on Amazon almost each day, and one day I got so many UPS boxes I told my super-nice UPS driver, "Don't smoke pot then Amazon!" (It's legal here, but just a joke!) The TALOYA Smart Ceiling Light is an impressive fixture for the price, combining smart home functionality with a clean, modern aesthetic. The 12-inch flush mount design fits well in bedrooms, hallways, and kitchens without looking bulky. The RGB color options are vibrant and the white light modes cover the full range from warm (2700K) to cool daylight (6500K), which is useful for setting mood or task lighting. Pairing with the app was straightforward and once connected, voice control through Alexa and Google Home works consistently without delays or dropout. The dimming range is smooth from about 10% to 100% brightness. Installation was quick with standard wiring and the fixture sits flush against the ceiling nicely. The light output is strong enough to adequately illuminate a medium-sized room. The main limitation is the app, which is functional but not the most polished user experience and occasionally needs a reconnect after router restarts. Still a great value for a WiFi-enabled smart ceiling light with RGB and tunable white in one fixture.

Installation took less than 5 minutes, setup was easy and quick as well. Lamp is very bright and handy that it has brightness level. Integration with alexa works great, for various settings and scenes.

Great product! Important! Light has to be flush with the ceiling around the mount otherwise will not secure to mount. Make sure connection point is not recessed otherwise, you'll be spinning the light repeatedly and not sure why. I have three of these now and they look great! Pros. Beautiful control system, lovely ring of light around the room under led color setting. Flush mount looks great. Very bright Cons Main down light is primarily focused downward, leaving top two feet of room looking dark. The video showcases the beautiful color, the glow of the blue light which has some uv properties, and the downlight in warm yellow (around 1200k)

I was really excited when I first bought this light because it enabled me to change the color and the brightness of the light. I have this light in an entry area. Unfortunately, after having this device nearly a year, I am going to throw it away. Nearly every time that I turned it on, the light resets and starts flashing brightly. It's only supposed to do this if you turn it on and off very quickly three times, however, in practice this has happened unintentionally more times than I can count. Not simply from flipping the switch multiple times but sometimes just from turning it on and off quickly. The light forgets the Wi-Fi and flashes brightly at you until you can get the phone app out and re-add it. I'm not typically very sensitive with light but when it is dark out (as it often is in winter in a Midwestern state) this is extremely alarming. My kiddo is afraid to turn the light on because it resets and they can't do the app as it is on my phone. I would stay away from this product. It needs a complete redesign on how the pairing and reset process works In order to be functional.

I bought a couple of these lights to replace some old ceiling "mushroom lights." We started with 2, and the installation and integration were so easy, we got three more and replaced most of our downstairs lights. They look great, leave a very low profile, sort of look like the top of a Star Trek teleporter. Installation is just the black and the white wire - the instructions claim that because it is all integrated plastic, the ground isn't needed. That was unusual, but the construction is truly enclosed, with only the wires coming out. It includes hardware for connecting the house wires to the light wires, screw caps and much easier-to-use wire clamps. Initial configuration was very easy with the Smart Life app. We had to re-do one pair of lights during the initial connection, but a second reset and setup worked flawlessly. The app itself is OK, there are some features to be desired, but it is an easy and familiar set of controls to manage white light, colored lights, or sequences. The white light is brilliant at full brightness and does much better job than the mushroom lights, though you can look right at the light and it isn't too bright (like a light bulb would be). The colored LEDs are a different set of lights, and perfectly bright themselves. From a brightness, look and functionality perspective, I would love to replace all of my ceiling lights with these, and we keep an eye on sales here on Amazon in case an amazing deal arrives. We are trying to hold off a bit though and see what kind of longevity they have, as there isn't any obvious way to fix them.

I bought the two pack to replace some very dated lights in a very dark windowless hallway. I don't think this hallway has ever seen so much light! They're definitely bright! I had 2 fixtures with 2 60watt equivalent bulbs in each and one of these lights at 75% puts out more light than all 4 bulbs did previously. With both, I'm running it at ~20% and its brighter but in the same range as before. The instructions included make the connection and setup a breeze. I got things linked to my Amazon alexa and Google home accounts in short order and you can even sync them with each other so changes to one change all of them at the same time. The smart home app is nice for the customizable nature but the integration with Google home passes most of the features on while alexa only gives you a few color options. Lastly, wiring this up: do yourself a favor and get some wago lever nuts instead of trying to use the included wire nuts. If your home wiring is like mine, you probably have 14ga solid core romex and there was barely enough room in the included wire nuts for that wire alone. wrapping the stranded wire from this light and making a good connection likely isn't feasible. You could probably make it work but it's likely to be a poor connection (you shouldn't be able to pull the joined wires apart after putting on the nut) Unless you have some extra appropriately sized wire nuts, grab a pack of wago lever nuts and make your life easier.

Awesome! I renovated my daughter’s room and bought this one plus some led strips. It literally took me less than 3 minutes to install. It is the first time I find a ceiling light that convenient to install, it’s really very well though! It’s flush with the ceiling and I did not have to spend hours, arms in the air to get it done. Just for that I immediately felt in love with it 😂. The light is very bright (perhaps a bit too much) but the good thing is that you can control it and dim it as needed. The coloured led halo is very nice also. My only regret is that you have to choose between light or halo, both cannot be lit at the same time. Other than that it’s perfect and I will buy another one for my other daughter’s room. The app configuration is easy although I did not manage to make the sharing function work. But we don’t use it anyway, we ask Alexa to turn on/off, dim or change colour.

We purchased 2 of the 18inch Taloya Flush Mount Lights as they had good reviews on Amazon. They arrived quickly and undamaged. We had a family member who’s an electrician install them. It literally took him 5 mins to install each light. We didn’t use the remotes it came with, we downloaded the app to control the lights. I wouldn’t say the app moves as smoothly as the Wiz lights app or the Hues but it still works well for the most part. We like how the colour lighting shines above the light like in the pictures, it reflects off the top of the walls in the room. The 2 lights when both on are EXTREMELY bright when on bright white and 100% but of course it’s also dimmable. Over all extremely happy and would recommend!!
